SNSSDC - Dessert Anyone???

Hello there. Today we have a new challenge for you over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. Our challenge this time around is Desserts. Grab a digi with a dessert theme, and show us what you made. Here is my dessert creation... Sorry the photo is so dark. I tried to lighten it up, and it got all discolored. I started my new job a few weeks ago (it is just a temporary one, but it is something for now), and been working everyday. That is a little different for someone who hasn't worked outside the home for almost 5 years now. Plus, I am running our school auction that is only 16 days away!!!!! PANIC MODE has totally set it. So needless to say, I didn't get to work until late into that evening last night, and the lighting was terrible by the time I got to the camera. So...anyway. FOr my card, I used the Cocoa's Sundae digi from SNSS. I colored with colored pencils and gamsol, and layered onto some cherry PP from the Target $1 spot. The sentiment is cut out from one of the other papers in the same paper set. I added some stickles to the cherry so it was sparkly like the ones on the PP.

So with that said...our challenge this time around is to make an Easel Card. As mentioned above, all us DT gals have used some of the brand new Sweet 'n Sassy Digis that are available NOW in the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps store! Here is my easel card...

Ok...this is only the 2nd time I have made and easel card, and I really like them. They really are very easy to do, and look soooo cute! What a great card idea for someone that you know will display the card on their desk or table or mantel. For my card I started with the little coffee and donut image from the You & Me digi set. That is right...SET of digis...you get a whole bunch of these adorable little images including sentiments...and the best part...you buy them now, you use them NOW! Well, after getting my image colored, I couldn't find the right PP to use with my card. SOOOO....I made my own! I simply copied and pasted the digi image and printed on some pink CS. I love the way it turned out. I layered my homemade PP onto the card base. Next i added the colored image and the sentiment. The sentiment is also from one of the new digi release sets called True Friends. This is a complete set of great friendship sentiments. I know you will see some of them featured on some of the other cards in our hop today.

Balloon Hearts

I thought I would share a cute kitty card with you today using the Balloon Kitty Stamp from Eureka Stamps. This super cute image is available in 2 sizes as well as digi format! I used the larger one, stamped it off and colored with watercolor crayons. I trimmed it down, and layered onto some PPs from Echo Park. I added some purple ribbon, and a sticker for the sentiment.

Happy Birthday Balloons

HI there! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. Today I wanted to share a very CAS card I made for using the Balloons stamp from Biblical Impressions. Since we celebrated my middle DD's birthday yesterday, I thought it would be fun to make a birthday card. I stamped the image and colored with watercolor crayons. I used my CM cutting system to cut the oval. I also cut and oval from the purple PP from Echo Park. I layered onto a purple CS base, and used the Happy Birthday stamp from BI along the bottom.

Like I said...very CAS, but I thought it was cute for a kids party card.

Hi there...today we have a new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. Our challenge this time is Monochromatic. So...with Valentine's day coming up, I decided to go with pink/red as my color. Here is my card. I decided to start with the adorable Cupid Rhubarb Digi. I colored him with colored pencils and gamsol, then I added some glitter to his wings and the "feathers" of the arrows. The PPs I used are all from a stack I "borrowed" from my DD...lol. I loved the papers and kinda "borrowed" them from her. I added some little heart brads to the corners of the card too.

Biblical Impressions Winter Blog Hop

Hi there...welcome to the Biblical Impressions Winter themed blog hop. If you arrived here from Sarah's Blog, then you are on the right path...if not then head on back to the main Biblical Impressions Blog and start the hop from the top! Our theme this month is winter...not that we have had much of it here in WNY. We usually have at least a foot of snow on the ground by now, and well...I see my grass right now. My daughters are so upset...since they love to ski. Well here is the card I came up with for the hop. I started with the Patchwork Glove Stamp from Biblical Impressions. I stamped it off and colored with watercolor crayons. Next, I layered onto some PP from Echo Park. I added some ribbon, and some little gems to the corners. I wanted to go "winter" without the holiday reds and greens...lol...so I went with the mint color for my card.

Eureka Stamps - Valentines/Love Blog Hop

Hi there and welcome to the Eureka Stamps Valentine's day/ Love themed blog hop! If you just arrived here from Ceal's Blog, then you are on the right path. If not, then head back to the Main Eureka/QKR Stampede Blog and start from the top. Here is what I came up with for this "love"ly themed hop. Isn't this dragon so cute????!!! I think he is adorable. This guy is called Sm. Hearty Dragon. He is also available in a larger version, or a digi. I stamped this guy off, and colored with watercolor crayons. Now most dragons are green, but I really liked the idea of a pink and brown theme for this card. So I went with pinks and reds, and a brown body. I layered him onto some PP from SEI, and then stamped the Happy Valentine's Day stamp on the bottom. Last I added some little pink gems to the corners of the dragon image.

A Recipe - SNSS Digi Style

Hello...Happy 2012! I guess I have been slightly MIA over the past month. First off, I have been having something "issues" with my mojo...it seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth to begin with. Also, been a lot of stuff going on around our house. Of course like everyone, the holidays are just crazy in general, then add on some other life stresses happening, and you have no creativity from me...lol. Anyway, I am really trying to refocus and get back into my stamping, mostly because it really calms me down. So today I wanted to share the card I made for this weeks Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. Our challenge this time around is a recipe challenge. Ok, so I have to admit the first time I saw a challenge blog post a "recipe" challenge, I thought I had to cook...and I wasn't sure how that related to crafting...lol. But thankfully I now know what it means. So here is our recipe challenge for you...

2 - embossing

3- colors of your choice.

Now here is my take on this "cooking" challenge.Sorry the photo isn't the greatest. It took my until the sun was down to get this card done...lol. As a result the stickers I used show more then they do in real life too. Anyway...I used 1 - number on the adorable Cheerleader Cookie digi. 2- I used 2 pieces of embossed pink CS...it is hard to see from the photo, but the base CS is embossed as well as the small pink rectangle behind Cookie. 3 - Three colors - pink, green, white!

SNSSDC - Tags

Hi there. Today we have a new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. This time, we challenge you to create a TAG using a digi image (of course!). Well the timing of this one worked out perfect for me. Last weekend we made teacher gifts, and I just need to add a tag to them. So...I did some "mass producing" using the adorable Cocoa's Stocking Digi.
Wow that picture makes it look like I made ton of them...lol. There are really only 11. I colored the digi images with watercolor crayons. There are 3 different "styles". I trimmed them down, and layered onto a piece of PP from Echo Park. I added some ribbon (which by the way I ironed...lol), and hand wrote the To: and From:. This weekend I will have my DDs fill in the names.

Tea Time

Hi there. Today we have a new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog. Our challenge this time around is "Tea for Two". We challenge you to use a digi image to create a tea themed project. Here is mine. I started with the adorable Cocoa mouse and his tea cup. I colored with watercolor crayons, and trimmed him down. Then I began my layering. The papers I used are all from one of the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps kits of the month. These kits are great...not only do you get a stamp set, ribbons, papers, and embellishments, but also IDEAS!!!! The LO of my card is also one of the LOs from the July 2011 KOTM. They really are a great deal, and a great way to get ideas.

Creative Belli - Winter/Christmas

Hi there. Soooo sorry for my lack of posts, and my late post today. I have had a lot going on, as most of us do this time of year. Plus to add to it, I have been subbing at my DDs' school this week. Sooo...nothing is getting done...lol. And like most of us, I have a lot going on in my personal life right now. Well, today is Wednesday, so we have a new challenge for you at the Creative Belli Challenge. Our challenge this time around is winter or Christmas. Here is what I came up with. I started by stamping this beautiful Pointsetta Flower stamp from Biblical Impressions. This stamp is actually the featured stamp this month for Biblical Impressions Stamps. Check out the details HERE on what you can do with this stamp. For mine, I stamped it and colored with watercolor crayons. I did some paper piecing on the leaves. I layered onto some PP from my stash (my "old" embellishment for the Belli Challenge), and layered that onto the red background PP. I used a rub-on for my sentiment, and added some little red gems to the corners. Last, I added some stickles to the center.

SNSSDC - Gifts

Hi there. Today we have a new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi challenge. Our challenge this time is to create a gift for someone using a digi image on it. I started with this adorable little Rhubarb Stocking digi from SNSS. I printed him out and colored with colored pencils. I added some smootch to the "white" parts of the stocking. Then I fussy cut him down. Next, I layered him onto the PP that I used to make this......ornament gift! My in-laws needed an ornament with a photo of my youngest DD, so I thought this would be perfect! I started with an acrylic "coaster" from Maya Road. I cut the PP from Nikki Sivils to fit. I wanted the photo to stay protected over the years, so I put the acrylic piece over the paper. The 2011 is stickers. Last, I added some ribbon to be the "hook". Oh yeah...and when I showed my DD the ornament of her, she felt the need to do this... ...and I LOVE IT!!!!! She wanted grandma and grandpa to know it was from her...lol. Mom's Kitchen Rules

Hi there. I have been wanting to make this project all month, but haven't been able to get the supplies...well today I finally got them all! Earlier this week I bought the wooden plaque, and today I found the paper and the little embellishments at my LSS. All this to use with the awesome Moms Kitchen stamp from Biblical Impressions. Isn't it cute! I know I have seen this saying or something similar before, but I just loved it when I saw the stamp in the Biblical Impressions store. I started by using some white paint along the edges of the wooden plaque. Then I used Modge Podge to put the kitchen themed paper onto the plaque. I stamped the image onto white CS, and cute with my CM cutting system. While I was looking around my LSS today, the girl working pointed out the little kitchen embellishments. Funny, they were the same company as the paper! So I said...yeah, that will go perfect! They already had sticky stuff on the backs of them, so they were super easy to add onto the plaque. I really think they added so much to it too. Well that is all for now! I finally feel like my mojo is slowly coming back. This was actually my 2nd project I made today! Legend of the Butterfly

Wow...what a weekend...that is all I got to say about that. Somehow I was able to get some crafting in, and created this cute little ornament using a couple stamps from Eureka Stamps. I just loved THIS butterfly stamp, but when I ordered it I didn't realize it was so large. Now if I had just read the size i would have been okay, but...yeah...I didn't...lol. This same image comes in two sizes though if you don't want one so large...lol. So...I decided to pull out the old Shrink paper. I stamped the butterfly, and cut it out. I remembered to punch the hole for the ribbon before "baking" Here is the before...Oh, yeah...I also colored with colored pencils before baking. A little tip...if you are going to use shrink paper, it is a good idea to sand it a little before stamping and coloring. Next, I baked it...and come out with this...As you can see it is much smaller now...lol. I added some ribbon to it so it can be used as an ornament or bookmark. Next, I attached it to the Legend of the Butterfly poem stamp. Here is a closer shot so you can see the poem a little more.

I just thought this was such a pretty poem, and would make a cute gift for someone special.

SNSSDC - Our Favorite Things

Hi there. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We started our day yesterday with a race. Here in Buffalo, the YMCA does an 8K race every year on Thanksgiving morning called the Turkey Trot. This was the 116th year! Well, my husband and oldest daughter ran it for the first time yesterday. If you are a regular reader here, you know my DD is a 5K runner...and she LOVES IT! Well, they finished...and I couldn't have been more proud of my baby. She was completely exhausted after running 5 miles, but had an awesome time. What a great way to start the day.

Well we have a new challenge for you today at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. Our challenge this time is "Our Favorite Things". Basically, we want you to use your favorite crafting things on your projects using a digi image. Here is what I came up with. My first "favorite" thing on here is my Cocoa digi. I just LOVE LOVE Cocoa mouse from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Now I don't like mice in real life, but Cocoa is just superb! I used the Cocoa's Leaf digi, and colored with watercolor crayons. Next, I layered onto some PP from my stash. My next "favorite" thing was flowers. I love layered flowers, or just flowers in general...so I added some little felt flowers, and a brad to hold them together. (I like brads too as a favorite). Last I added the little sticker for the sentiment.

Creative Belli - Thanksgiving

HI there. Can't believe tomorrow is Thanksgiving!!!! We will be getting up early here, as my husband and oldest DD will be running the local Turkey Trot. This is the first year they are doing it, and my DD is just super excited! Then it is off to a friend's house for a party, and home for turkey dinner. Well in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, our theme this week at the Creative Belli Challenge is Thanksgiving...or anything related to Thanksgiving. Here is what I came up with. I decided (in the spirit of the Belli) to pull out a stamp I haven't used...well ever...lol. I just love Cocoa Mouse from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I have most of the clear stamp sets, as well as most of the digi images of this adorable mouse. Well, I don't think I ever inked this guy up, so I did today. Since Thanksgiving is related to the "harvest", I felt this image was perfect. He is from the Autumn Lovin' Cocoa Clear set. I stamped him and colored with watercolor crayons. I layered onto some DP from CTMH (which is also been in my craftroom for about a year). I added some lace and stamped the sentiment.

Hi there...happy Friday! Today we have a new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. Our challenge this time is to use a bird image. Here is what I came up with for this one. I used the Winter Love Owls digi for my image. The cool thing about this image, is you can also purchase it already colored HERE! I colored mine with colored pencils and layered onto some PP from Nikki Sivils. I thought the little owl paper was perfect! I used sentiment from the paper collection, and added some buttons.

QKR Stampede Blog hop - Snowpeople

For my project, I used the Saying Hello snowman stamp.

As you can see I actually made 4 cards. I wanted to try something different...I guess a little personal challenge. So I challenged myself to be "minimal"...lol. I used 2 full pieces of red CS, and one long piece of gingham ribbon, and 1 image. The ribbon was enough to make all 4 cards! I stamped the images and added just a little color to each one. Then I layered them all a little different. For the sentiments, I used a couple of the stamps from the Deck the Halls set. Here are a couple close ups. Turkey Boy

Today I wanted to share a quick Turkey card with you. For this card, I used the Turkey Boy image from Biblical Impressions. Isn't' he cute? I stamped him off, and colored with colored pencils and Gamsol. Then I fussy cut him out. I layered onto some PP from Echo Park. I added some brown ribbon and a bow. Very simple, but a cute card.

Hi there! I am so glad you are hopping along with us today. Our theme this time around is "Words". We are using Eureka Stamps Sentiment stamps as the focal point on our projects. Here is what I came up with.For my card, I used the I Can Do stamp which is the Bible verse Philippians 4:13. I stamped the image onto some PP from Bo Bunny. I really felt the paper was so pretty on it's own, it didn't need much else...but what fun would a card be without glitter????!!! So, I used some stickles on parts of the letters, and some smootch on some of the dragonflies and leaves on the PP.

Next I layered onto some grey CS, and then a white CS base. I added some little red brads to each corner too. Well that is all from me. Now off to your next stop on the way...

SNSSDC - Paper Piecing

Happy Friday. I hope you are enjoying your day. Happy Veterans Day to all those in the USA. Today we have a brand new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog. Our challenge this time is Paper Piecing. Here is what I came up with.Now I took the paper piecing idea to a different level this time. Usually you stamp (or print in this case) the image twice and then layer the PP on top of the image. However this time around I decided to do some reverse paper piecing. I used my execto knife to cut out some parts of the Rhubarb's Sunflower Digi image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Then I layered the PP under the image. I used watercolor crayons to color in the rest of the image. I layered onto some PP, added some ribbon and buttons.

Biblical Impression Blog Hop - Thanksgiving

If you are just arriving here, then head back to the main Biblical Impressions Blog, and start from the top. Our theme this time is Thanksgiving/Gratitude. Here is the card I came up with for this hop.

I really wanted to showcase the Give Thanks Sentiment from the Biblical Impressions Store. I thought it was such a pretty font. So I decided to make a simple card to feature it. I went in search of some "Thanksgiving" themed PP the other night, and found this paper you see on the background. I loved all the different designs it had on it. The back of the paper was the pretty green, so I used a piece of that to stamp the sentiment onto. I layered onto a cream CS base, and added some mustard yellow ribbon. See...very simple, yet very elegant.

Snowmen...

Hi there. Today I wanted to share a cute little snowman card with you. I know it is only November, but I am sure the snow will be here before we know it. Actually some parts of the USA have already had snow! Here in WNY, we only had a little bit that didn't stick...much to the disappointment of my children (they are skiers...lol). For my snowman card I used the Snowman stamp from QKR Stampede. Isn't that snowman so stinkin' cute????!!!! I just love this guy. I stamped him on cream CS, and trimmed him out. I added some color using watercolor crayons, and then used some buttons where the buttons on the image were. For the sentiment, I used the Cold Hands stamp from QKR Stampede. Last, I layered the images onto some PP from Echo Park, and added some snowflake eyelets. Well that is all for now. If you like this snowman, be sure to check out all the other snowman stamps from QKR Stampede. They are great for Christmas cards...especially if you are like me, and end up sending your holiday cards out late...lol...at least you got the winter part covered...lol.

Creative Belli - Paper Piercing!

Hi there, and happy Wednesday. Wow this week is just flying by! I am all thrown off this week because the kids have had one day off already, and have another day off on Friday. 3 day school week...not too bad for them...lol. Well, today we have a brand new challenge for you at the Creative Belli Blog. This time our challenge is Paper Piercing....notice the "r"....that means poking holes not piecing papers...lol. I always get the 2 confused. Well here is what I came up with. My nephew just turned 2, and we are going to his party this weekend, so I thought I would make a card for him. So...I decided (in the spirit of the Belli) to use a stamp I haven't used in FOREVER! I pulled out this adorable little guy from The Greeting Farm. I stamped him off and colored with markers. Next I layered him onto some mustard colored CS, and PIERCED some holes in that. Then I thought the "2" should be on there somewhere, so I pulled out another stamp set that honestly I haven't use at all since I won it as some blog candy. So...I inked up the "2" and colored in with markers. I layered that on mustard CS and paper PIERCED there as well. I then layered onto some dinosaur paper from my stash, and a white CS base. OH yeah...can't forget about the red twill ribbon.

I then gave the card to my girls to write on the inside for their cousin. Let me just say...that was ADORABLE! My 4 year old copied everything her sister wrote...just in a 4 year old's handwriting. SOOOOOO CUTE!!!!

Hi there. Happy Monday! Did you remember to change your clocks on Saturday? I know not everywhere in teh world does it, but it is nice to think that I could have had an extra hour of sleep. However...I did not...lol. I was woken up at 3 by one child with a nightmare, and at 4:30 by another who was worried about the first one not being in bed....lol. Then for the next 3 hours I was asked multiple times when I was getting up. Oh fun! Well, I did manage to rest a little on Sunday afternoon, and relax a bit in my craftroom making this card using the one of the Tender Thoughts sets from Eureka Stamps. If you haven't checked these out before, you really need to. These stamps are great. There is one bigger stamp with a sentiment included on it, and then a smaller one that you can use to make the image "pop". As you can see, I did just that with this card. I started with the On My Heart stamp. I stamped it, colored it, and trimmed it down. Next I layered onto some green and orange CS. Then I stamped the Butterfly and Sunflower stamp. Trimmed it, colored it, and used pop dots to layer over the base stamped image.

My MIL's Birthday Gift

Hi there. Today my girls and I are going to visit my in-laws to celebrate my MIL's birthday. So...I wanted to share with you the gift I made for her. I saw this wooden frame this past summer at AC Moore, and knew I wanted to make something with it. So I thought this was the perfect time to do it. So I went back, bought the frame, and the PP to cover it. Here is how it turned out.

The frame is actually 12 x 12, so one whole piece of PP was needed to cover it. I used mod-podge to stick the paper down to the frame. Once it was totally dry, I used my xecto knife to cut the photo slots out, and trim the edges. Then I used my Cricut to cut the words. I was going to add some more, but I really liked the simplistic look of this. Simple and elegant. I think the paper was so pretty alone, that it didn't need much else. The last thing I did was add some purple stickles to the words to make them stick out more. Well...thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!

SNSS Digi Challenge - Christmas

Hi there. Today we have a new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. Our challenge today is a Christmas or Holiday theme project using a digi image. Here is what I came up with.... I started with this great Away in a Manger Digi image from the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps store. I love the way this image looks just the way it is, so I added very little color to it. Of course I wanted the Baby Jesus to stand out, so I added some color there, but otherwise, I pretty much left it. I trimmed it down, and layered onto the snowflake PP from Imaginisce. The rest of the layers are also Imaginisce. I added some ribbon, and a rub-on for my sentiment.

Wow...November 1st! Where did this year go????!!!! Ok...with Halloween over, it is time to get in the "holiday spirit". Before we know it, it will be Thanksgiving, and in less then 2 months we will all be celebrating CHRISTMAS!!!!!!! ARRRRRGGGGGGG! Ok...panic attack over...lol. Today I wanted to share a simple card I made using a beautiful fall stamp from Biblical Impressions. I used the Lg. Cornucopia stamp for my card. This image is also available in a smaller size if you don't like bigger stamps. I stamped it onto some cream CS, and colored with watercolor crayons. I layered onto some brown CS and then onto a cream CS base. For the sentiment I used a rub-on. Like I said...simple, but honestly I think the image alone is just so pretty that you don't really need anything else.

Ok...I will be the first to admit...I HATE Halloween...lol. There is something about it that I just can't stand...however, as a mom of 3, I have no choice but to be a part of the holiday. So today involved me spending my entire morning at the school helping with parties, and watching parades. Then it was free kids meals at Applebees with my mom...and now I just sent my children off to Trick-or-Treat with their daddy. So...I thought I would share this Halloween card I made last night using the Pumpkin Kitty stamp from Eureka Stamps.
A very simple card...but cute. I stamped the image, and colored with markers. Then I layered onto some Orange and green CS, and some PP from my stash. Like...I said...very simple...lol. Now I will leave you with a shot of my Trick-or-Treaters!

Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge - Harvest Time

Today we have a new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. This time we challenge you to use a digi with a fruit or veggie in it....A Harvest theme. For my card I used the Cocoa's Pumpkin digi from the SNSS Store. I colored with colored pencils and Gamsol. Then I trimmed the image down. I used some pumpkin paper from Imaginisce, and some olive and orange CS from my stash. I used a white gel pen to make "faux ribbon" and write the sentiment.

Creative Belli - 1,2,3,4 Challenge

Hi there. Today we have a new challenge for you at the Creative Belli Challenge. Our challenge this time around is a 1,2,3,4 challenge. Gotta admit, I wasn't quite sure what that meant when I first saw it, but once it was clarified, it made total sense. So what is it you say...here is the example us DT gals were given...example: 1 piece of dp, 2 flowers, 3 colors, 4 brads, whatever combo you wish but it must be 1234.
So...here is my take on this one.

2 - Images/Stamps

3 - Papers

4- little pearls

So...I used the Nurse stamp from QKR Stampede to start. I stamped her off and colored with markers. Next I trimmed her down a little, and layered onto the different PPs. The papers are from Nikki Sivils Get Well Collection. I added some ribbon from my stash, and the little pearls from my stash. Last I stamped the Get Well stamp from QKR Stampede, and trimmed that down. There you have it! Now it is your turn. Papa's Birthday Gift

Hi there. Today is my dad's birthday, so I wanted to make him something special. A couple years back, I went to a convention and volunteered, therefore getting all sorts of free stuff! So...one of the things I had picked up was a set of mini board books. Well, I have only used 1 of them in the past couple years. I decided to pull another one out for my dad's birthday gift. I started by using the Lg. Scribble Heart stamp from Biblical Impressions.

Something neat about this image is it comes in 3 different sizes, so if the one I showed here is too big for your needs, there are 2 smaller sizes. For this project, I stamped the heart using versamark, and embossed it with Sticky Powder. Next, I used some of the rub-on foils that are available from our sister company QKR Stampede. The first time I played with the rub-on foils was at the convention in August. They really are pretty neat to play with. While playing, one of the customers asked what would happen if you "re-heat" the foils after you put them on. Well for kicks, I tried it that day. One thing we did notice was it raises it up just a little bit. So I did that this time with this heart. I then took the finished heart and layered it onto the cover of the book. The words on the bottom are stickers. ALl the papers and stickers came with the books as a set. I did add something to the first page, but that was as far as I got...lol. I thought I would give it to my dad, and have him show me what photos he wants in there, and I will then add them.

Christmas Notebook

Today I wanted to share an altered project I made using the Dog Pile stamp from Eureka Stamps. I had this notebook laying around in my craftroom just waiting to be altered, and I was inspired to finally do it! For starters...I had to do some painting. The area next to the wire binding was light blue, so I had to cover that up somehow. So I took some white paint and covered it. Next I used some Christmas PP from SEI to cover the front and back of the notebook. Then I stamped the Dog Pile stamp on white CS, and colored it with markers. I also added some stickles to the ornaments, star, and the candy cane. I fussy cut it down, and layered onto the front of the notebook. Last, I added some stickers from the paper collection to embellish it up a bit.

Happy Saturday! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. I love weekends...so nice to not have to drive the kids to school, but instead just be home and relaxed...minus the 10,000 birthday parties we have to drive them to each weekend...lol. Speaking of parties...my oldest DD is going to one tomorrow, and I thought it would be fun to making something as part of the gift. Awhile back, I made altered alphabet letters for my girls, so I thought I would make one for my DD's friend. Here is what I came up with. She said her friend likes purple, so I went to my LCS and picked up some purple PP. I used mod-podge to put the paper onto the letter (which was purchased at Hobby Lobby). Next, I used my Cricut to cut the name out. I made the shadow using white CS, and some PP for the name. I also used a white gel pen to trace over the letters. Next I used a bunch of flowers from Imaginisce to create the big flower on the left. I used a brad to hold them all together (it is a cord brad from Nikki Sivils). I used scor tape to attach that so it stays good.

Now I am loving the idea of making these as gifts for my nephews and niece for Christmas. What kid doesn't like to see their initial all fancied up! So I will be heading back to Hobby Lobby for more of these letters, and some papers to create more of these. Thanks for stopping by!

Shaped Card - Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge

Hi there. Today we have a brand new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. This time our challenge is to use a digi image on a shaped card. That is right...no "normal" cards...we want shaped ones. Here is what I came up with. I have used this mug pattern before, and thought this Rhubarb Digi went just perfect with it! I colored this guy with markers and fussy cut him out. Then I layered him onto a brown CS circle. Next I used some little mug PP to cover the front of the mug. I wanted it to look like it was full of my favorite Coconut flavored Coffee, so I added some darker brown paper to the inside rim.

Get Well

Hi there. I first want to apologize for being some absent lately. I have been trying to work on stuff, but nothing is flowing in my mushy brain...lol. Well...today I thought I would share one of the things I came up with this week. Tomorrow, the QKR Stampede DT ladies will be having a blog hop, and our theme is Get Well/Encouragement. So I thought I would stick with that theme when I made this card. Yes that is a giant bandaid...lol. I used my Cricut to cut the card shape out. I believe it is from the Wild Card Cartridge. Then I used the Get Well stamp from QKR Stampede and a rainbow ink pad. I just randomly stamped the sentiment all over the card. In our house we don't have plain brown bandaids...so I thought the colors were more like what we have here...lol. With 3 little girls we have all sorts of character bandaids...ha ha.

Christmas Kitties

HI there. Wow...my creativity seems to have left me months ago, and not coming back...lol. I have not been happy with anything coming out of my craftroom lately. BUT...I am trying...lol. Anyway today I wanted to share a card I made using the Cat-r-Pillar stamp from Eureka Stamps. So when I ordered this stamp, I kinda missed the part that says how big it is...lol. But that is okay...I just love it! Some of the other Eureka DT ladies have been sharing the Dog Pile Stamp, so I decided to share the kitty version of it with you. Both images are very tall, but absolutely adorable. I stamped this image, and then colored with watercolor crayons. Next I layered onto some green CS. The PP I found in my stash and thought went perfect with the lights on the stamp. For the base I used some red CS. On the inside I stamped the Piled High Christmas sentiment. It goes perfect with this stamp and the dog stamp. If you like the piled animals, there is also a piled Bunny Stamp. The bunnies are more spring themed, but just as cute! Thanks for stopping by!

Biblical Impressions Blog Hop

Hi there, and welcome to the Biblical Impressions Blog Hop. If you are arriving here from the Main Blog, then you are on the right path! Our theme this time around is Friendship/Encouragement. Boy did I need this theme right now in my life! I actually had a dear friend in mind when I made this card. Here is what I came up with. I started by stamping the Sentiment stamp called I am Blessed with black ink on grey CS. Next, I layered that onto some darker grey. For my base, I used some PP I got from a QKR Stampede card kit. These card kits are available at the show booths when QKR Stampede does a convention/show. All the papers on this card are from one of those kits. Next I layered the flowers...which are also from our sister company QKR Stampede. Finally I added the little iRock gems along the circle. Very simple, but really says what needs to be said to someone you really care about.

Creative Belli - Glitter, Felt, or Flower Soft

Hi there. Today we have a new challenge for you at the Creative Belli Challenge. This time we are challenging you to use big glitter, felt, OR Flower Soft. So I decided to use flower soft. I haven't pulled it out in awhile, so I thought this was a great time to pull it out. I started by stamping the Rose stamp from QKR Stampede. I colored it in with marker, and added pink flower soft to the petals. Next I did some layering using some Echo Park Papers. And as you can see...I went a little crazy with the ink distressing and stippling...lol. I wanted to add some ribbon, but I felt the ribbon was too bright for the card...so I rubbed it along the black ink pad.

Eureka Stamps Cats and Dogs Blog Hop

Our theme this hop is Cats and Dogs. We are featuring some of the adorable cat and dog images from Eureka Stamps. Here is what I came up with using the Party Poopers stamps. I stamped this image off and colored with watercolor crayons. Next I layered onto the party themed paper I found in my stash. I used some stickers to embellish. The nice thing about this image is it's size. With such a large image, there isn't a lot of "extras" needed for the card, but it makes a great birthday card! My DD will be using this one for a party she is attending on Friday.

SNSSDC - Baby

Today we have a brand new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. This time around we are challenging you to create a baby themed card. Remember we are a digi challenge, so only digi images are allowed to play along. So I strayed from the norm for this one and made a baby boy card. As a mom of 3 girls, I am not familiar with the color blue...lol. I started with the adorable Cocoa's Train Digi from the SNSS store. I colored him in with colored pencils. Then I trimmed it down, rounded the corners and layered onto blue CS. The little hands and feet PP I had in my stash from a project I made for my nephew last year. I used a sticker for my sentiment, and added some blue gems.

Paper Pieced Rose

Today I wanted to share a card I made using the ROSE stamp from QKR Stampede. I thought the Echo Park Victorian Garden Collection went perfect with this image too. I stamped the image on white CS, and then again on some of the PP. Then I paper pieced the flower and most of the leaves. I used a marker to fill in the rest of the image. Then I used a stipple brush and some green ink to ink distress the entire card. I really wanted to bring that green out. Last I added the ribbon, and the Happy Anniversary stamp.

Today I wanted to share a quick easy card I made using 2 of my new stamps from Biblical Impressions. My new DT stamps came yesterday...I just love when I get new stamps! Here is what I came up with. I told you it was simple...lol. Sometimes simple is good though. I started by stamping the Babys Breath stamp with versamark and embossing with white embossing powder on purple CS. Next I layered that oval onto a green oval. Next I pulled out some green and purple PP from Cosmo Cricket and did some layering. Last I stamped the Be Still stamp with versamark and embossed with white.

I really like this card for a "thinking or you" or "encouragement" card.

Halloween Kitty

Hi there. I can't believe it is October already!!!! That means here in my house the discussion is all...Halloween costumes. Well...I have officially purchased 2 of the 3 costumes I need. I will be making the 3rd one. And yes...2 of my 3 girls are going to be Angry Birds....LOL. Well...in honor of the upcoming fun day, I thought I would share this cute simple Halloween card I made using the adorable Pumpkin Kitty stamp from Eureka Stamps. Like I said...very simple! I wanted to add a sentiment, but I thought this card would also word as a general fall card, so I didn't put the "Halloween" sentiment on. The image was stamped on white CS, and again on orange. Then I cut the orange pumpkin out and layered onto the first image with foam tape. Then I simply layered onto the pumpkin background paper. Last, I added some orange ribbon.

Today we have a color challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. We challenge you to use Red, Yellow, and Purple...and of course you can use a neutral color in there. Here is what I came up with. I decided to use the Rhubarb's Balloons digi this time around. I colored with markers, and layered onto some red CS. Next I grabbed some yellow checkered PP and layered that down. Finally I layered onto a layer of red again. Next I embellished. I needed more purple, so I used some purple ribbon, purple gems, and a purple CS oval for my sentiment. Last, I added some balloon eyelets.

Football LO page 2

HI there. I promised to show you page 2 of my Buffalo Bills Game LO. Well here it is! I used some more of that football PP I used on the page the other day. But you can also see that adorable little cheerleader mouse! That is a stamp from QKR Stampede! I stamped her off and colored with markers. I thought it went perfect with the photo of my girls with the Jills.

Creative Belli - Paper Piecing

Hi there. Today we have a brand new challenge for you at the Creative Belli Challenge. This time around we want you to do some paper piecing. The key...make sure you use something "old" in the process. For my "old" item, I used an old stamp set this time.

I started by stamping the Poppy image (from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps) off on white paper. Then I stamped again on the PP from Echo Park. I then paper pieced the flowers and the leaves. I used a marker to color in the rest of the image (stems). I then layered the image onto some more PP from Echo Park, and added the sentiment. My mom said she needed a sympathy card, so I thought this would work perfect!

Hey...I am soooo excited! I was chosen for the Showcase on You feature on the Nikki Sivils blog this week! Head on over and check it out. Soooo cool. SO in honor of this awesome occasion, I thought I would share a LO page I made this weekend using some of the Gingerbread Lane Collection from Nikki too!

I made this simple LO using some photos of my DD's class snowshoeing during gym class last year. We are so lucky to have snow shoes at our school for the kids to use during the winter months. The kids LOVE it...although they quickly learned it isn't easy. For this LO, I used a sizzix to cut the letters from one of the PP in the line. I also used the little mitten die cut from the collection too.

Football Game LO #1

Hi there. I told you I would be back with another LO today. Well...sorry it took a little longer then I hoped. I haven't been feeling well today. I went to lay down earlier, and kept getting interrupted, then I had to get the kids from school...and well I am finally sitting down and trying to stay awake long enough to post this...lol. Anyway, I wanted to share a LO I made using the Cheerleader Balloon holder stamp from Eureka Stamps. My older DDs went to a Buffalo Bills pre-season football game, and I wanted to scrap the photos my DH took for me. This is the first of 2 LOs I made for this event. As you can see, I used that adorable Cheerleader Balloon Holder stamp in the bottom corner. I used some balloon eyelets in Bills colors as her balloons. The rest of the LO is pretty simple...added a border using a punched boarder I got at my crop this weekend, and a piece of football PP.

Well, I am off to try to stay awake long enough to fold laundry...although that doesn't sound like much fun...lol.

Hi there. I have returned from my beautiful weekend away. I had an amazing time in Silver Lake, NY scrapbooking my weekend away. See this gorgeous house......that is where I spent my weekend. With good friends, good food, and LOTS of scrapbooking...you can't ask for much more! Well...I got sooo much done this weekend, and will be sharing some of the pages with you through out this week. I am going to start with this page.

I just LOVE this page! I made this for the DCWV September Stack-a-holic challenge. Here is the sketch they provided. I used the DCWV Naturals Stack to create my page. This photo was taken by a friend of mine of my youngest DD. I thought the natural colors went perfect with the photo. I also added some brads and ribbon along with the Naturals Stack papers. SNSS Digi Challenge - Border Punch

Hi there. Today we have a brand new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. This time around we want you to use a border punch along with a digi image. Here is what I came up with. Since I have been in an apple mood all week, (I went to the local market and got apples. I made applesauce and apple pie so far.) I decided to use the Rhubarb Picking Apples Digi from the Sweet 'n Sassy stamps Store. Next I did some layering using papers from Imaginisce. I used my border punch on the apple PP and the red PP. Last I added some ribbon and a couple felt flowers.

Lunch Box Notes

Hi there. Today I wanted to share some little lunchbox notes I made for my DDs. I used the Patchwork Star stamp from QKR Stampede on these. I stamped the image and colored with watercolor crayons. Then I fussy cut them out. Next I took some little pre-cut 3x3 note cards I had in my stash. I used some PP from Basic Grey, and layered onto the base. I added the star to each one, and then some words. I did a little experimenting for my words. The bottom one all the way to the left of the photo is a piece of printed vellum I found in my stash. The middle one I used stickers, and the last one I used a glue pen and gold leaf. Very simple, but I know my girls will love to open these in their lunches next week! Simple Christmas Card

Hi there. I wanted to share a card I made last night for a challenge on Facebook. It is very simple, but the PP makes it pretty. The papers and stamps are all from CTMH. I stamped and embossed the ornament on cream CS. I layered onto some green snowflake PP. Then I layered onto the cream CS strip, and stamped the NOEL, and swirlies on that. Last I layered onto the red PP, and a cream CS base.

Well I loved the colors in this photo, and for some reason it made me think of cupcakes...lol. So here is what I came up with.

I started with the cupcake digi from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I colored using makers, and colors from the photo. Then I found these die cut aprons, and the candy PP in my stash. SO...I thought it would make a cute recipe holder. So I attached everything down, and cut a piece of blue CS to use as the recipe card base. I used stickles to write the word cupcake. Last I added a little ribbon bow using some ribbon I found in my stash.

QKR Stampede Blog Hop - Nature /Animals

Hi there! Welcome to the QKR Stampede Blog Hop. If you just arrived here from the QKR Stampede Blog, then you are on the right path! For now...let me show you what I made for our Nature or Animal themed hop. I started with this beautiful Blue Jays stamp. I stamped it onto kraft CS, and colored with watercolor crayons. Next, I cut it using my CM cutting system, and layered it onto another circle. The PP and ribbon on this card are from Imaginisce. I then added some little "pearl like" embellishments to the bottom corner. Last I stamped the Happy Birthday along the bottom. My mom said she needed a masculine birthday card, and I think this would work. Nothing frilly here...lol. Well I must send you off to your next stop now. Please go visit...

Creative Belli 126 - String

So today we have a new challenge for you over at the Creative Belli Challenge. This time around our challenge is STRING. I gotta say...my creativity has apparently taken a trip to Mexico or something. I sat down to create something for this challenge, and my mind went blank. I just hate when you have uninterrupted craft time, and you got nothing but an empty mind...lol. Anyway, here is what I ended up making. A very simple project, but I thought it turned out ok.

I started with a triangle box template and a piece of PP from CTMH. I cut, scored, and folded. I added some eyelets to put the "string"/twine through. Then I used the Oak Leaf stamp from Biblical Impressions. I inked the image up with brown ink, and then used a pumpkin orange along the edges of the image. When I stamped it off, it had a "mixed" color. I love the way that turned out. I did 2 of the leaves this way, and then reversed the inking order and did 2 that way. Here is a close up of the leaf. You can see the tips of the leaf are orange. After I stamped the off, I fussy cut them out, and layered one on each side of the box. I glued closed 3 of the sides, and left one open so I can fill it. After doing this, I thought these boxes would make cute little Halloween school treats (with a "spoooooky" image of course). I may even do these for Christmas. The last step we to tie it up with the string!

Fall Coasters

Hi there! I hope you are having a nice start to your week this week. So far I am surviving. I officially have all 3 of the girls in school. It is a happy and sad event all at once. I am dealing with my "loneliness" by using my time to do projects! I have a whole big to do list of projects that have been neglected due to having small children in the house, and of course I will be doing some quality crafting...lol. Speaking of crafting, I wanted to share a project today using some wedding favors. We went to a wedding in late July, and the favors were coasters. So I thought it would be fun to make some fall themed coasters. Here is the set of 4 I made. I started by picking out some fall papers from CTMH set I have. I cut them to fit the little slide in spot on the back of the coaster. Then I used the Lg. Acorn stamp from Biblical Impressions. I stamped with Versamark, and embossed the acorn with copper embossing powder. Then I simply slide the papers into the back of the coasters. Here is a close up of the 2 different styles.

Here is my fall themed card. I started with the adorable Parachuting Squirrel stamp. I stamped him once on cream CS, and stamped just the leaf on some dark brown CS. When I stamped the leaf, I used versamark and sticky powder, then used some gold leafing to bring out the leaf (the sticky powder and gold leaf are available at our sister company QKR Stampede's site). Next I colored the squirrel with watercolor crayons. I used foam tape to pop the leaf off the main image. Next I did some layering with fall papers from BoBunny. I added some ribbon, and a rub-on for a sentiment.

SNSS Digi - Sports

Hi there. Happy Friday! What a week. All my girls have officially started school now! I can't believe all my babies are so big! Also with the month of September comes what I consider a very sad time of year...Football season. HA HA HA. I loose my Sundays to football, but that means I get Sundays in my craft room! So I guess it isn't that bad. Keeping in line with the sports, that is our challenge this week at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge! We want to see what you come up with using digi images and a sports theme. Here is my Sports creation. I started with the Cocoa Loves Football digi. I colored with colored pencils and gamsol. I used my CM cutting system to cut the image into a circle, and cut a brown CS circle. I then layered all the papers from Echo park. I added some twill ribbon, and the star eyelets.

Duck, Duck,....

Hello there! I hope September has started out well for you all. We started school here yesterday, and so far so good! The kids had no problem getting up and ready for school in the morning, mom...well that is a whole other story. I don't like mornings. Well today I thought I would share a fun waterfall card with you. I have only made this style card one other time, but I really like the way this one turned out. I went with a humorous card today using 2 images from QKR Stampede. First I used the little ducky called Sitting on Log. I also used the Stitched Goose stamps. Here is what I came up with.

HA HA HA...I told you it was a silly card. When I was looking through the QKR Stampede store, I saw all the duck stamps, and thought it would be cute to do a duck duck goose card. The waterfall style card was perfect for it too. I stamped the images and colored with colored pencils. Then I hand wrote the words. I felt the card needed a little more then just the images, so I also added a few of the little paper flowers that you can also pick up at the QKR Stampede store too.

Ok...I got less then 15 minutes to get this typed out for you. We have a guy from the Internet company coming today. We have been having "issues" every time it rains, and well frankly I am sick of it...lol. So...Here is a very quick post with my Biblical Impressions card for this week. As you can see this is a very simple card. I really wanted to make this gorgeous Buck in Forest stamp. I used my brayer to ink it up (since it is so large). Then I stamped it off on cream CS. I then used watercolor crayons to add some subtle colors to the image. Then I trimmed it down, and rounded the corners. I layered onto some PP and CS from CTMH.

Ok...that is it...like I said...short and sweet. Time is running out, and the phone/Internet guy is going to be here soon!

Harvest Time

Hi there. Sorry this is so late. We went camping last night at our property for a little Labor Day fun. Well, I totally got my days all mixed up with camping on Sunday night instead of Saturday night. So...better late then never...lol.

Today I thought I would create a fun fall themed project. With school starting up on Wednesday, and it being September...my mind is now focusing on fall things. Here is the card I made. I started by using the Leaf Background stamp from Eureka Stamps. I wanted to have some fall colors on it, so instead of inking it up with an ink pad, I used my brayer to add 3 different ink colors to the stamp before stamping it. Next I used watercolor crayons to color some of the leaves in the image. Next I layered that onto some PP from CTMH. Next, I used the Harvest Time stamp. I inked it up with Versamark, and stamped onto the velum. Then I embossed with copper embossing power. I layered that over the leaf background.

A little Saturday Fun

Hi there. Today it has been very hot here, so I have been spending some time in my nice cool craftroom. Well, I decided to play along with a contest on Facebook. The challenge was to create a 1 page LO. Here is what I came up with. My middle DD got to ride on the roller coaster at one of our favorite amusement parks for the first time this year. So I created this page to document that ride for her. My papers are from SEI. I couldn't' find just a roller coaster, so I cut the one on the top of one of the SEI papers off and put it along the bottom. I layered all the photos onto mint green mattes to go with the green in the BG paper. I used my Cricut to cut the title.

Sweet 'n Sassy Digi - White on White

Ugggg...so I meant to have this post up first thing this morning. My plan obviously feel through...lol. I was going to get the post all ready last night while my DH took 2 of my girls to the Buffalo Bills football game. Well instead I spent my evening catching up on my TV show that I have been watching via DVD episodes. So...I am sooo sorry...but here it is now!

Today is Friday, which means a brand new challenge at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog. This time our challenge is white on white...so...you can only use white or ivory papers. You can add a little color to your image, but all the papers have to be white. So here is what I came up with. When I saw this challenge I knew right away I wanted to use the Ocean Paradise Digi from the SNSS store. This image is just so peaceful looking, and I thought the white would just go great with it. So I printed it out...a little side note, my printer is almost out of colored ink...so for some reason the image was a little "tinted", but it actually worked well with this image, or at least I thought so...lol. I wanted a very soft look, so I used watercolor crayons on this one. Then I rounded the corners of the image. At first I couldn't think of any white papers that I had, UNTIL I remembered I had some left over from the wedding scrapbook I made. So I pulled those out, and used those to layer. I used my corner rounder on all papers and the CS base. Last, I added the ribbon and bow. I can't believe it is September already! Where did the time go???!!! Seems like it wasn't that long ago that I got the girls signed up for their first swimming lesson for the summer, and now I am getting ready to ship them off to school. I am on the Home School Association (PTA) at my girls' school, and last night we hosted our New Family Welcome night. Well, that just got the girls more excited about going back to school next week. I guess being in the building, and seeing some of the teachers just did it for them. It is nice to see them so excited about their new adventures this year. Well, with September comes Fall...so I decided to share a fall themed card with you today. I just love this LEAF stamp from QKR Stampede. This is also the stamp that I was using to demo this past weekend at the convention. Such a simple image, but just so gorgeous. I also decided to play with the Gold Leaf so more for this card. I started by stamping the the image with an orange ink. Then I made a mask and stamped 2 other colors (brown and green) on the white CS strip. Next I stamped the image with Versamark, and used the Sticky Powder on it. For this card, I used the reddish colored Gold Leaf. There is some reds, silvers, and a little bit of orange and gold in this color.

This picture shows you a little closer what the gold leaf looks like. Last I layered everything onto some fun fall papers from BoBunny, added some ribbon, and some buttons.

Well that is all for now. I am off to go attempt to make homemade fruit roll-ups with my girls. This should be an interesting experiment.

Fall Beauty

Wow...I didn't realize it was so late already. Lets just say...I am enjoying sleeping in way too much...therefore slacking on my blog posts being up first thing. HA HA...only a few more days to do the sleeping in thing though, then back to the up at the butt crack of dawn to get the kids to school. Of course anything before 9am is the butt crack of dawn to me...lol. I am not a morning person. Thankfully my kids know this, and they know that mommy isn't being mean when she doesn't talk in the morning, she just doesn't talk in the morning...lol.

Anyway...we have a new challenge for you at the Creative Belli Challenge today. This time we are challenging you to use acetate or vellum. So...I thought about using some vellum for this, but I am hoarding all my vellum for the wedding invitations I am making. So...I decided to go through my stash and see what I could find. A few times I have ordered the grab box of goodies that Maya Road offers from their warehouse. I just love these, because you get a whole box of goodies and it is like Christmas opening it up! So I dug through my collection and found these acetate journaling boxes. There is one for each alphabet letter, and I have only used a few so far. But the "B" one stuck out to me, and I thought it would look great with a fall leaf stamp. Here is what I came up with.

I used the Solid Oak leaf stamp from Biblical Impressions. I stamped it with Versamark, and used sticky power to make it sticky. (Sticky power is also known as heat and stick, but the sticky power is available at the QKR Stampede site.) Next I used Gold Leaf (also from the QKR Stampede site) on my leaf. I am just in love with this technique. The gold leaf and the sticky powder are so awesome together, and so EASY to do! Here is a close up of the leaf. It just adds so much to the card, and looks awesome on fall cards. Next I fussy cut that leaf out, and layered it onto the acetate piece. Then I layered the various PPs, and added the lace ribbon and bow. The PPs are all from CTMH.

Well now you need to go see what the other Belli DT Gals have come up with for this challenge. Then grab that vellum or acetate that you have had laying around in your craft room stash, and play along!

Back to School Teacher Gifts - Lots of Pictures

Hi there. Today is usually the day I share a card or project using the wonderful Biblical Impressions stamps, BUT...I am changing things up a bit this week, and will be sharing a Biblical Impressions project with you tomorrow along with a brand new challenge for the Creative Belli Challenge. So I wanted to share what I made for back to school teacher gifts. I wanted to try something I have never done this year for gifts. I really liked the way THIS altered notepad had turned out, so I decided to make a couple of those. I started with some fun school themed papers (pencils from Cosmo Cricket), and some notepads I picked up at Michael's for $1 each. Well I felt I needed something to add to it...so while I was at Michael's, I also saw these little boxes of tissues. They were in the $1 section also. I just grabbed 3 random letters...since I was going to cover them up anyway. I did try to grab letters that I knew would be left over later (you know the Ws and Xs...lol)Funny thing, after cutting the paper to use for the notebook, the piece that was left was EXACTLY the right size to wrap around the tissue boxes! What are the chances????!!! I guess that was a sign I picked the right thing to go with the notepads...lol. So...off I went to score, fold, glue, and as I like to call it "fix" things. I started by removing the magnets from the back of the notepads. Then I measured and scored the pencil PP according to the size of the notepad. I used scor-tape to attach the notepad to the PP. I left it so there was a light boarder around the pad. Then I made a little inside pocket, which I hope to find some stickers before next week to put in those pockets. I also decorated the front using stickers I had in my room from a couple years ago. Here is what the finished product looks like. And the finished tissue boxes...I was going to add a little tag to these that said "Teacher's Tissues", but I felt they looked good just like this. I used some ruler stickers along the bottom for some embellishment on them though.

Meeting Maribeth!!!!!!

What a great weekend! This past weekend I had the privilege to meet, in person, the awesome owner of QKR Stampede, Eureka Stamps, and Biblical Impressions. All of which I am honored to design for. Maribeth, her hubby, and 2 year old granddaughter drove all the way from Colorado to Hamburg, NY for the StampScrapArtTour show. I am sooo thankful they came, even after a few set backs, they made it all they way. We had a BLAST at the show. My fellow DT member Kristie and I spent some time at the show helping out. I know we both had a blast helping with the Gold Leaf demo. (Which by the way is some pretty awesome stuff that you can get from the QKR Stampede online store.) I also enjoyed just spending some time helping people and sharing the awesome products that Maribeth's companies have to offer. Of course I had to get some photos of the booth, and of us 3 ladies together. So here they are! This is the 3 of us and my youngest DD (who spent the day with us and played with Maribeth's 2 year old granddaughter). Here is the booth. It looks AMAZING! It is so cool to see all the DT ladies projects on the boards too. Here is a picture of Maribeth showing some ladies how to use the Sticky Powder and Gold Leaf together (both are available HERE).

So you get the idea that it was a great time! It was so awesome to be able to spend time with Maribeth too. Well I also wanted to share a project I made today using the Eureka Stamps Balloons and Holder stamps.

These stamps are so fun! I stamped the witch holder on white CS, and added a little color to her. Then I used some orange and black balloon eyelets, and the Jack-o-lantern balloon. The PP are SEI, and the sentiment is stickers.

A Little LO

Happy Saturday! I am off to another stamping convention today, but this time I am super super excited because I finally get to meet the awesome Maribeth! Maribeth is the owner of QKR Stampede, Eureka Stamps, and Biblical Impressions...all of which I am honored to design for. I am so excited after all this time to finally meet her in person. I will be posting photos later of our meeting, and the company booth. But for now, you are just going to have to look at this LO I made...lol. I was playing with some of the papers I won from Nikki Sivils, and came up with this.Back in February we went to the auction fundraiser at my DDs' school. One of the things we had there this past year was a photo booth. So we gave it a whirl. I loved the photos. Each one of my girls went in, and then I went in with one of my dear friends. However, I blocked off her face, and name for this because I didn't' get her permission to post them...lol. I used some papers and embellishments from the School is Cool line from Nikki Sivils. It is one of her summer CHA releases, and it is sooo much fun! I thought it would be fun to put the photo strips on black paper that looked like film strips.

I used a punch to create that look. I also added some of the embellishments from the line on the page. A very simple LO, but I thought it was cute. I used the stickers from the collection to make the title for my LO.

SNSS Digi Challenge - Your Favorite Color Combo

HI there, and happy Friday. I hope everyone on the East Coast is okay. Irene is really making her mark this year...and right after that earthquake the other day. I live far enough inland, that by the time Irene makes it here, it will just be rain and mild winds. Well, today we have a brand new challenge for you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge. This time around, we want to see your favorite color combo. This one made me think for a minute, because I love so many color combos, but I went back to the fabulous pink in the end. I love the look of pink with brown, so that is what I went with. I needed a card for my dear friend's daughter who is turning 12. Well, she is into nail polish (especially that crackle stuff...lol), and she did tell me she likes pinks, so I thought this would be perfect. I started with the Pamper Me Cookie digi from the Sweet 'n Sassy Store. I colored her with markers. Then I used some gold stickles for the trim on the makeup containers, and for the nail polish, I used crystal effects and added some chunky glitter before it dried. My pink PPs are from Echo Park. I layered those onto a brown PP background. I also used some brown bakers twine, and added the pink and brown flower. The LO I used for this card was actually the sketch from our sister challenge The Sweet Stop Sketch this week.

A little Gift

Sorry this post is a little later then what I would have liked ot have it up, but we had a pretty nasty thunder storm last night, and it knocked out my Internet. I don't do well without my Internet or wifi...lol. Well, today I wanted to share a little experiment with you. I have seen these done before, but wasn't sure the measurements, so I "experimented" myself, and ended up with a cute little gift. I liked the way it looked so much, I am now making these for first day of school teacher gifts too. I will show those to you later this week. Well, I started with one of those tall note pads you can get from the $1 section of the craft stores or Target. They have magnets on the back, so I just ripped those off. (those magnets may come in handy another time.) Then I did some measuring, and finally ended up with this...

Cute huh? I used the coffee cup/tea cup paper that I picked up at my LSS. I measured the notepad, and cut the paper accordingly. I am finding that to give exact measurements to you would be pointless, because the other pads I did this with are a different size then this one. So the best I can tell you is to measure the pad, and add a 1/4 - 1/2 inch to each side for a little boarder. The "binding" or folded edges are about 1/4 inch more then the actual thickness of the pad. Next I decorated the front. The coffee mug is actually a little magnet that came with the notepad I used. I simply ran it through my Xyron, and attached it. My favorite "embellishment" is the stamped Sentiment. That is just so funny to me...since I am such a coffee person. I don't' function without my coffee in the morning. This summer I have switched to iced coffee so I still get my coffee, but it isn't too hot to drink in the heat. Well that sentiment is a stamp from QKR Stampede. It is called Smell the Coffee, and was just perfect to go with the saying on the notepad. Check out the inside... After I finished the front, I felt the inside needed a little something more, so I added the little pocket. Again, the measurements depend on your notepad for the pocket, but I just measured it with some extra room for tabs (so fold under and add adhesive). For this one, I stuck a few little instant coffees in there. I have something else in mind for the teacher gift ones. Be sure to stop back and see what I did with those! Well that is all for now. Fall Oak Leaf

Hello! I don't know about where you live, but here in Buffalo, NY I think summer has left us. Although, I will admit that I am finally able to sleep at night, and I LOVE the cool temps at night. My husband thinks I am crazy, but I love sleeping with the cool breeze coming in the window, and a blanket on...lol. I know in some parts of the USA, the kids started back and school this week. My kids don't go back until Sept. 7th, but I can feel the "fall" spirit. So today I decided to share a fall themed card with you using the Solid Oak stamp from Biblical Impressions. A very simple card for you here, but sometimes simple is good. I really wanted the focus of this card to be the leaf. So I stamped it with Versamark, and embossed with copper embossing powder. Then I fussy cut it out, and curled up the edges just slightly. When I glued the image down, I only put glue along the "veins" of the leaf, so the edges would stand up. The PPs I used are from CTMH, and the lace ribbon trim is from SU. Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great day!

I'm So Sorry...

Ok...well I didn't really do anything, but that is what the card says...lol. Wow...what a weekend....busy busy as always. The highlights for me...attending a stamping convention on Saturday (nothing more fun then that!), seeing a double rainbow, and attending our county fair. Sunday I spent sometime in my craftroom working with my new "toys" I got on Saturday. One of the things I picked up was some supplies to make teacher gifts for my girls' new teachers. They are not TOTALLY done yet, but almost...so here is a little sneak peek until I get the rest ready. I am sooo excited about these. Ok...now onto today's card. Today, I am sharing one of the images from the Tender Thoughts section of the Eureka Stamps store. The stamps in this section are great. There are nice big images with sentiments as part of them (like I am using today), there are nice nature and sentiments too. I like these because they are not only beautiful, but are just right for those cards you need to make, but don't know what to say. Here is what I came up with using the I'm So Sorry image. I started by stamping and coloring the image. Then I cut along the edges of the image. Next I layered onto the green paper, and then the yellow PP. Last, I wanted my flower to have some "fluff", so I used some yellow flower soft on it.

I love the way flower soft looks all close up...lol. Well...that is all for now. EXCEPT...if you live in the WNY area...make sure you come out to the StampScrapArtTour this weekend at the Hamburg fairgrounds. BECAUSE...QKR Stampede/Eureka Stamps/Biblical Impressions will be there!!!! This is always a great show...but now it will be even better with QKR Stampede there!

PEEPS!!!!

So I have been starting to go through my papers and get things in order for my scrapbooking weekend trip in Sept. Yes I know it is a month away, but I am just sooo excited, that I have to get started now. I went through and made a list of some of the papers I would like for my album, and then headed off to my LSS. There I picked up a whole bunch of fun stuff! When I was putting it away, I found my paper I bought to scrap the pictures of my youngest helping me make chocolate dipped Peeps at Easter time. I also picked up the stickers to match. Check this out... AHHHHHH PEEPS PAPER!!!!!! LOVE IT! This is made by Creative Imaginations, and they actually have a whole line of Peeps stuff. I will admit...I do enjoy my Peeps, but only when they are "stale"...lol. That is right...I buy them and either poke holes in the package, or open the package totally. Then the process begins. They must sit for a couple days in order to be just right for me...I don't like the Peeps fresh...they need to have a little crisp to them. Gross, I know, but hey we all have a quirks. Anyway...I layered my photos on the paper, and added some of the pink glittery Peeps bunny stickers. I used my Cricut to cut out the word PEEPS (in yellow because that is the color of the Peeps my DD is dipping in the pictures). Then I added some stickles to the letters, so they matched the sparkly stickers. A very simple page, but I just love it. Now I am craving Peeps...and yes I actually have some in the house! WHY???? Well about a month ago, my mom was in Washington DC, and guess what they have there????? A PEEPS STORE!!!!!!!!!!!! You know where I am going next time I am down there.

As I mentioned in today's Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge post, SNSS is now a member company on Splitcoast Stampers. Well one of the fun parts about this, is challenges! The first of the inspiration challenges was posted on Tuesday, and a new one will be posted each Tuesday. This time around the inspiration was a photo, which you can find HERE. Here is my take on the challenge.I decided to use the photo for the color inspiration of my card. I started by stamping the flowers onto some PP, and fussy cutting them out. The flowers are from the SNSS stamp clear set called Your Friendship. Next I did the layering. A side note...the papers, buttons, and white ribbon on this card are all from one of the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps kit of the month sets. This one happens to be from the July kit of the month...which also includes the stamp set I used! Each kit of the month comes with papers, a stamp set, and lots of embellishments. Also included are photos of cards that you can make with the kit. This LO I used is a take off of one of the photos included in the July kit. Well that is all for now. Now onto today's Digi challenge...Back to School! I guess in most parts of the USA, kids are starting back to school for the year. My kids don't start for a few more weeks...Sept. 7th to be exact. I will be honest...I am looking forward to it, but at the same time I am not. This is the point in the summer that sibling rivalry is at is finest, and personally I just can't take it anymore...lol. Well, today I decided to share a back to school LO I made featuring none other then RHUBARB!!!!

I just love this guy! This guy is a digi image (of course), but in case you missed it, he is now available in a clear stamp set too! Plus, his clear set is also part of the Kit of the Month for August...so check that out HERE too! Now...back to my LO...lol...I am so easily distracted. Here is the full 2 page LO I made. I started by coloring Rhubarb (back to school digi) with markers, and layered him onto a piece of the star paper. Then I layered him down in the bottom corner of the first page. All the papers for this LO are from Nikki Sivils School is Cool line. I used the banner strip along the top of page 1, and wrote "first day of class" on it. Then I used various diecuts and stickers from the paper line to embellish. As you can see there is not photos yet...but that is because school hasn't started yet...lol. I did do the journaling though...lol. Page one, the stars will hold a photo of my youngest who is off to Pre-K this year. The second page will hold photos of my other 2 girls who will be starting 1st grade and 4th grade.

Trains, Boats, and Automobiles - QKR Stampede Blog Hop

Ok...so I think the movie was called Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, but you get the idea...lol. Welcome to the QKR Stampede Blog Hop. Our theme this time is boys - trains, boats, and cars. If you arrived here from DAWN'S blog, then you are on the right track (get it...track...ha ha...yeah I know it is bad humor). If you just arrived here, please head back to the QKR Stampede Blog and start from the top of the hop order. Well...if you are ready, I will share my project with you. A couple weeks ago, I showed you this photo......and I said to stay tuned to see what I do with these little blocks. Well today is the day! Here is the pieces I used for this project... The blocks I got at AC Moore, and PP is from my LSS. The whimsical looking red train is from the back side of the PP (the one with all the little trains), and the other image is the Train from the QKR Stampede store. This image actually comes in a couple different sizes, but this is the
bigger of them. Ok...onto the next stage. I colored in the train image with markers. I did a very simple coloring job on this one because of what I was making with it. Then I got to work. I grabbed my Modge Podge, a brush, and and xecto knife. I brushed the Modge Podge onto the back of the papers, and "glued" them down to the blocks.

This next photos shows you a little bit more of the blocks before they were cut apart. After each side was dry, I would slice the blocks apart using the blade. SIDE NOTE: If I were to do this again, I think I would cut my papers just slightly smaller then the area I was covering...due to over lapping. Or, I would have actually cut them into little 1" pieces and gluing each square separately. BUT...this worked okay for me this way. Well...here is a glimpse of what I had when I was done. I covered all the sides of the blocks. Now...here is the side with the QKR Stampede Train image... And here is what it looks like when the PUZZLE is all put together!
Pretty cool huh? I think I will try doing something like this again soon. I really like how it turned out. What a great gift idea for a little boy. Now I think I need to go whip up a little case to put this in...lol...actually I have an idea....but we will save that for another day. Feel Better Soon

Hi there. Today we have a brand new challenge for you at the Creative Belli Challenge Blog. Our challenge this time around is Gingham. Ok, so honestly...I saw the challenge, and said, I don't think I have anything in my stash to fit this! And since the idea behind the challenge is to use stuff in your stash, I was a little worried, that I might not be able to play this week. Well, I went digging in my ribbon drawer, and found this ribbon. Ok...tan gingham ribbon...what am I going to do with this.?????!!!! LOL. Well, after sitting at my craft table and staring for a few hours (well I guess it was only a few minutes...lol), it came to me. I had this adorable Millie Mouse stamp set from Inky Antics that I have never used, and this great new release Get Well Soon PP from Nikki Sivils that I won, and here is what I came up with.
Isn't it soooo cute????!!! I started by stamping the little mouse, and coloring her with watercolor crayons. Then I stamped the nurses hat, cut it out, and then cut a small slit at the top of her head to slide it on her. Then I cut just around her little tiny fingers with my execto knife. I did that, so she could hold the little band aid. The band aid is one of the die cuts from the PP collection. I layered the pieces of PP onto the white CS base, and then came the gingham ribbon. Next I layered the image square onto the PP. I just love the little images on this paper! Last, I used a sentiment from the stamp set on the corner of the card.

Christmas Bookmark

This month on the Biblical Impressions DT we have been "showing off" some of the Bookmark stamps. Today I have another Biblical Impressions bookmark but, instead of using one of the bookmark images I used a Christmas image. I guess I am trying to show how you can use any images to make a cool bookmark. I started by stamping the Jesus Savior image (which by the way is the coolest Christmas tree I have seen) on kraft CS, and embossing with bronze embossing powder. Next I cut it down, by trimming just along the edges of the words. For the base, I started with a kraft CS base (which you can't see because the PP is covering the whole thing...lol). I then layered the pieces of PP from Echo Park onto the base. These were all pieces of CS I had left from other projects using this PP. Last, I used my crop-a-dile to punch the hole, and added some ribbon that I had in my stash. That is all for now. I am off to pretend to be productive today...so far that is not going well, but at least the thought counts...right????!!! LOL

Hi there. Today I wanted to share another simple card made using the Balloons and Holders stamps from Eureka Stamps. These really are so fun to use, and so much you can do with them. My fellow DT member Kristie even made a framed wall hanging with it! Well, sadly football season is upon us again...yes I said sadly...lol. Although that does mean that I get Sunday's to CRAFT!!!! Here is my football themed card.I started by stamping the Cheerleader Holder, and paper piecing her clothes. I chose blue and white, because that is my DDs' school colors. Then I used some Maya Road fibers as "string" to attach the Football Balloons. I used foam tape to make them "pop"! Then I hand wrote the "Go Team". I used a blue marker to color some of the pom pom, then I used Diamond stickles to make it shiny. A very simple card, but with these balloon and holder stamps, that is all you need! Rhubarb Takes a Swim

Today I have a card to share with you that my oldest DD made to give to her friend. She is going to her pool party this week, and wanted to make her a card. She doesn't have to bring a gift, because is lieu of gifts, the family has asked for a donation for our parish food pantry. Isn't that great?! What a fabulous idea, and a great lesson for kids too. Well, anyway here is her card she made.

She started by coloring this Rhubarb image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. Then she used some light blue CS, and put it through the cuttlebug. The PP behind that is from Echo Park. Last she added some little blue brads.

SNSS Digi Day - Use Lace

Today we have a new challenge fro you at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Digi Challenge. Our challenge this time around is to use Lace. Remember, you MUST use a SNSS digi stamp to play along. Don't have one???? Well be sure to check out the Sweet 'n Sassy Store, and see all the great images you can get. I love the variety of images that are offered. Well for now, here is what I came up with for this week's Lace challenge. I started with Rose Blossom digi this time. I used water color crayons to color this rose. I then fussy cut it down, and layered onto the PP oval. I layered that oval onto a cream CS oval. Next I used a variety of PP all from the My Mind's Eye set I had. I used some lace "ribbon" I had from SU. I really like the way the lace looks on cards...I really should use it more...lol. Finally I added some white roses from Prima. Yes I said white...they are not white anymore...lol. I used my watercolor crayons to add some color to them. I used the same pinks I used on the digi rose. Well that is all from me. FLowery Fun

Today I want to share a card I made using an image that i have used MANY times before, but I just love him. QKR Stampede has some great turtle stamps, and this guy is one of my favorite of the turtles. He has so many themes you could use him for. My card today is a "blank" card, so really he could be used for anything...birthday, thank you, just because... See...isn't he cute? This guy is the In Love stamp. I stamped him off, and colored with watercolor crayons. I fussy cut him out, and layered on to the blue PP. All the PPs on this card are from SU, and have been in my stash for at least 4 years...lol...I am a paper hoarder! I also pulled out my paper distressing tool I haven't used in forever too. I decided to distress all the papers for this one. Last, I added some of these Paper Flowers. If you didn't know yet, QKR Stampede also has paper flowers now! These flowers are great! You get so many in each pack, and there are so many colors to choose from. They are all made of mulberry papers, and very fun and easy to work with. They layer together so nice! I used a brad to hold mine together.

Oh I wanted to share something else with you today too. Last week I showed you the LO page for my DD's first ever 5K, and told you she was running one on Saturday. Well she did...and....
Yup...that is my baby with a MEDAL!!!! She took 3rd place in her age group. I am one proud Mama. She ran her best time that night...well that is until last night when she ran again...lol. Last night she ran another 5k, she ended up beating her time from Saturday giving her her best time yet..33:59. I am sooo proud of her. She didn't medal last night, but she is totally fine with that. She knows it isn't about being first, it is about finishing, and doing the best that she can do. Here she is with her "running buddy" (my hubby), after the race last night.

What is Black and White, and Pink all over???

Remember that old joke kids used to tell..."What is black and white and red all over?"...well I switched it a little and went with pink...the answer this time...my card I have for you today! I started by stamping off the little girl image called Picking Dandelions from Biblical Impressions Stamps. I then stamped her again on the pink PP so I could paper piece her dress. Next, I added a little bit of color to her skin, hair, socks, and the flowers. Then I cut the image using my cutting system from CM. I picked some black and white papers from Echo Park, and began layering things. I layered the girl image onto some PP with words. Then I layered everything onto the polka dot papers. For the sentiment, I cut a strip from the same PP collection. Notice the little tiny pink on that too.

Well that is all from me for now. I must go take care of a "situation" in my DD's bedroom. I went in to see if the rain was coming in the windows, and found a big wet spot. BUT...the wet spot was not near the window. I starting quizzing the girls to see who spilled something, meanwhile I feel a drop on my shoulder. I look up, and there is a big wet spot dripping. ARRRGGGGG!!!! A quick call to the hubby, and he is on his way home. SO I have the girls getting everything out of the way, so daddy can hopefully fix the problem. I don't' know where it is coming from...there isn't a water line there that I know of, and this isn't on the top floor! I also have my oldest checking under her bed (which is filled with who knows what...lol) since it is right above the spot. It is always something!

Haven't the projects been great on this hop???!!! I just love the balloons and holders stamps. There is so much that can be done with them. For my project today, I decided to make a Halloween themed card. For my project, I used the black cat balloon, and the witch holder. I stamped them off with black in, and used a black marker to draw the "string". There are some string stamps available in the Eureka Stamps store if you would rather use those too. Next, I added some orange to the witch's dress and hat. I layered the images onto some orange CS, and then onto some PP from SEI's Halloween line. I used some grey ribbon to make a little "x", and added a punched out circle with the sentiment.

Friendship - Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge

HI there, and welcome to my blog. Today we have a brand new challenge for you over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge Blog. This time around our theme is "Friendship". We want you to use a Sweet 'n Sassy digi, and create a friendship themed project. Here is what I came up with. I decided to use the Rhubarb Honey Bee for my card again this week. I just think this guy is adorable! I went with a little non-traditional bumble bee this week though. I have never seen an orange and blue bee...lol. I started this time by picking my PP. The paper is from Cosmo Cricket. I used one side for my base background paper. Then I used the other side for the "stripes". I layered those onto some green CS. I also layered the image and sentiments on the green CS. I typed up the sentiment myself this week, but there is a fabulous digi sentiment set in the SNSS store that goes with this little bumble bee.

Biblical Impressions Blog Hop - Bookmarks

We are featuring the bookmark stamps from the Biblical Impressions store for this hop. There are over 60 of them to choose from, and really is something for everyone. Be sure to check out the store after you have finished the hop. Here is what I have to share with you today. I used the To Everything Bookmark stamp for my project today. Ecclesiastes chapter 3 is my favorite chapter in the Bible. This passage just has so much meaning to me. Actually I needed to be reminded of this passage just yesterday when I got some "bad news". I recently interviewed for a job, and well...I didn't get it. I am very disappointed, BUT...I know that GOD has something else planned for me. Anyway...I stamped the image on kraft CS, and trimmed it down. Then I layered onto a piece of light blue CS. I used the pretty butterfly PP from SEI for my background. I used some sheer ribbon from my stash for the top of the bookmark.

1st 5K Layout page

Hi there. Today I wanted to share a couple LO pages I made for our family 2011 scrapbook. I shared before that my oldest DD was in her first 5K this past June. She will be running her 2nd one this Saturday night! We can't stop her now...lol. She has a couple more planned before the end of this calendar year too. I am so proud of her determination. Well, I finally started working on my 2011 scrapbook album, and got the pages done from the 5K race in June. Here is what I came up with.

I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I saved her race number for the center of the 2nd page. I started by trimming my photos, and laying them out on the paper. Next I used my Cricut to cut the GOTR 5K. I also added neat sneaker image from QKR Stampede. I stamped them onto some pink CS, and fussy cut them out. I then used some gel pens to add the purple laces (just like my DD's running shoes), and the grey on the treads. I thought this image went perfect with my pages.

Well that is all for now. I can't wait to see how she does on Saturday night! This time she is running with her dad. They have been training all summer for this, and they have cut her time down by almost 10 minutes!

Gingerbread Christmas

Hi...me again...lol. This time I wanted to share another set of Christmas cards I made this past weekend. Been getting right to work on all these cards, so I don't have to panic in December, and mail them all late again this year. This time around I used Rhubarb's Gingerbread Man digis from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE gingerbread men. And I had the perfect papers to go with the image. I recently won the entire new release from Nikki Sivils Scrapbooking! One of her new release lines is called Gingerbread Land. Here is what I came up with. And a close up of each...(sorry the color is a little off. I tried to fix it, but it got too bright.) There is a total of 9 cards in this set. All the PPs are from the Gingerbread Land line. The sentiments are a digi from SNSS, called Beary Christmas Sentiments. The digis are all colored with watercolor crayons, and fussy cut down. I then layered them onto some solid colored CS, and onto the PP.

Creative Belli Challenge 123 - Non-paper Materials

Hi there. Today we have a new challenge for you at the Creative Belli Challenge. This time the challenge is to dig in your stash, and find something non-paper to work with. You can grab that piece of fabric you saved and always said you were going to use, but haven't yet. Or maybe some burlap, I have seen some lovely things with dryer sheets too. You get the idea. I decided to grab this candle that has been sitting in my craftroom for a year or so now...and sitting in my hutch for about 8 years before that...lol. I stamped the image on tissue, and used my heat tool to "melt" it onto the wax. The image is from Eureka Stamps, and is called Lg. Manger Circle. I really like the way the image "crinkled" too. I think it gives it a different look. I felt it needed something else, so I started digging. I found these snowflake eyelets (not paper, but metal!), and used my eyelet hammer to get them in the wax. Gardening Layout

Hi there. Today I decided to play along with this month's Imaginisce Challenge. I really liked this sketch, and had the perfect photo to go along with it.Here is my take on the sketch using all Imaginisce products.

This is a photo of my girls helping their daddy in the veggie garden this year. I felt the Berrylicious line went perfect with this. So...I ran to my LSS today, and picked up a couple more full sheets of this paper. Since all I had left was pieces, and the embellishments. Then I got right to work. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I used some of the die cuts for my titles, and embellishments. The journaling square is a sticker from the line.

Now I am off to make some dinner, then get to work on another cool project I am starting using these... Curious?????

The Lord's Prayer

Happy Tuesday. I hope your week has started off well so far. We are doing well here even though it has been yucky muggy. Not a fan of the heat...lol. Well, today I wanted to share a bookmark with you. Biblical Impressions Stamps actually has a whole section of stamps just for bookmarks! They are the perfect size to just stamp on for a bookmark. There are lots of options to choose from in this section...65 of them actually. There range from cutesie to "serious", childlike to adults. I had a hard time choosing which ones I wanted to work with this month. But...I ended up with the Our Father. I tried to make the photo a little bigger, but it got too distorted. I just love this prayer. Jesus taught us to pray to Him using this prayer. There have been many times in my life that I have relied on this prayer to help me when I just didn't know what to say. So that is why I picked it. I think something like this would make a great bookmark for your Bible, devotional, or really any book. I stamped the image off, on kraft CS, and trimmed it down. The PP is from my stash. It is a pretty blue with olive colored roses. Last, I used some Maya Road fibers for the "string" of the bookmark.

Morgan's Messy's Mini Missions Card

Here is my 8 year old DD's card for her DT. She is part of the Messy's Mini Missions children's challenge DT. The challenge this month is "Anything Goes". So she decided to do back to school. She made this card to give to her new teacher on the first day of school. She used the adorable Back to school Rhubarb image from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. She colored him with markers, and layered him onto the PP from CM. She used mom's Cricut to cut the letters, and used a gel pen to "highlight" the letters. Last, she picked some brads and put those along the top corner.

Morgan is also entering this in the Simon Says Stamps Children's Challenge.

Natalie's Card

This is a card my 6 year old DD made for a birthday she is going to this weekend. She used one of the adorable Rhubarb digi images from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. She is going to a roller skating party, so if you look close, you can see she added "wheels" to Rhubarb's feet. Then she cut him out, and layered onto the paper from SEI. She said the paper looking like the glowing lights at the roller skating rink. The heart brads are supposed to be the lights at the rink too. The sentiment is also from SNSS.

She is entering this card in the Simon Says Stamps Kids Challenge.

Hi there. Today I wanted to share a fun birthday card with you. Seems like the only mail we have gotten lately is birthday party invitations...better then bills I guess. So...we need some cards to go with the girls for all these parties. I just love this Birthday Dinosaur image from Eureka Stamps. Isn't it cute???!!! This dinosaur image actually comes in 3 sizes. The one I used for my card is the Largest of the 3. I stamped him off, and colored with markers. I added some smootch to his eyes and on the candle flames. The PP is from SEI, and the ribbon was in my stash. He is such a fun image, and personally I think he can go either for a boy card or a girl card. In this case, this card will be going to a little girl.

Wedding Gift - Lots of photos

Hi there. Today we are going to a wedding for my DH's uncle. I thought it would be fun to make an album for them as a gift. So I purchased a wedding album kit at a LCS...actually I got it on sale...because it was open and missing over 1/2 the stuff from the kit. Then I purchased another wedding album kit. Got home, and started working on it, only to realize the kit I purchased was for an 8" x 8" album, and I have a 12" x 12" album to work with....ugggggg! So back to the store to try again. This time I picked up a 12 x 12 pack of PP, and 2 sets of solid color 12x12 papers. The one set was even metallic papers. Then I got to work. I used various ribbons, stickers (which I bought for the album, and ones from my stash), ribbon slides, brads, flowers, etc...you get the idea...lots of embellishments. I just love the way it turned out, and I hope the happy couple does too. I am going to offer to put the photos in for them later if they want me to. I did label each "matt" as to what size photo is supposed to go there. So here is the pages I made...minus 1 (I didn't get a shot of the very first page of the album). Today we have a new challenge for you over at the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps Digi Challenge Blog. This time around our challenge is a color challenge. We want to see your SNSS digis with the colors: yellow, orange, and green. Here is what I did. Of course I had to use one of the new Rhubarb images...since they are just sooo cute! I colored Honey Bee Rhubarb using gel pens and markers. Then I trimmed it down a bit. I used some green PP from my stash, and some orange PP from Echo Park. I layered them onto a white CS base. I added some yellow ribbon between the two PPs. Then I used the sentiment from the Bee Sentiments set from SNSS. We have a couple birthday parties in August, so this guy will be used for one of those parties for sure!
