A Saturday full of Crop...

Yeah so that title doesn't sound right...lol...but fun. Yesterday I spent almost 12 hours scrapbooking. I went determined to finish my 2010 album....but I didn't. I did however get 20 1/2 pages done! Not too bad! The 1/2 was a page I already had the LO done, I just needed to add the photos. My pages are nothing fancy, but at least the photos are on the page, and in the book. When I first got there, I started with Sept...and got all the way to the end of November. I just have 2 November pages left! Then December...which happens to be the most photos of the whole year...lol. I have since decided to do a separate album just of Christmas. So that should help with the too many pictures problem. Well, since I haven't blogged in a while (since we were actually on vacation last week), I decided to share a couple of the pages I made with you.
Sorry they are so small. I struggle to get good shots of 12x12 pages. I was able to use some of my CTMH papers yesterday, as well as various other embellishments and papers. I used some stickers that I have had for YEARS too. Now I need to focus on getting a couple cards done, and back to the album. I hope within the next few weeks to finish my 2010 album once and for all. Then I can start working on my Great Wolf Lodge album from our trip last week! I even found a cool scrapbook kit in the gift shop there!

Snow Angel...QKR Stampede

Today I wanted to share a card I made using the Making Snow Angels image from QKR Stampede. I stamped the image and colored some parts with marker. I added stickles to the wings and the halo. Next, I trimmed it down a bit and rounded the corners. I went away from my normal colors and went with some blues and greens. The PP is from Imaginisce. I added some layered ribbon...it is actually 2 different ribbons. I punched out the circles and added the little sticker for the sentiment. Last, I added the little buttons.

Well that is all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Flower Power Cocoa

Hi there. I hope you had a wonderful day off yesterday...well if you had that. Here in WNY the kids have the whole week off! It is nice to have them home for a bit more then just evening and afternoons. I also enjoy the fact that I don't' have to drive back and forth to the school...I HATE driving. Well today is Tuesday...so that means a new challenge for you at the Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge. This week's challenge is to add flowers. Well...I decided to use this adorable Lilacs for Cocoa digi image. I colored with colored pencils and Gamsol for this one. And if you look closely, you will see that some of the flowers have little i-Rock gems on the centers. I trimmed the corners of the main image with a corner rounder, and layered onto the PP from SU. The sticker is from SRM stickers. I thought the "thanks a bunch" was fitting.
Well that is all for now. Head on over to the Crazy 4 Cocoa blog and see what the other Cocoa DT ladies have come up with. Don't forget to grab a Cocoa image and add some flowers...then link it up so we can see what you came up with!

Top o' the Mornin' to you!

Hi there...Happy President's day to all my reading in the states. Today I wanted to share a card I made for a fun challenge on Facebook the other night. Anne from Paper Patch Crafts, had a fun PJ party on her facebook page...HERE. Those of us able to play along enjoyed it so much...there is talk of doing this again sometime. Well, one of the challenges last night was to make a St. Patty's Day card. I thought this cute Pot Of Gold image from QKR Stampede was perfect for this challenge. So...off and went to my craft room, and began quickly coloring, and piecing this card together...so I could have it done in the time allowed for the challenge. Well I made it in the challenge with a few minutes to spare...lol. Here is the card I made. As you can see I was in such a rush, the Stickles were still wet...lol. I colored this guy with markers, and added some gold stickles to the gold, and some copper stickles to the buckles. I layered onto the PP...which is all from SEI. For the little "clover"...I took 3 heart brads, and but them together to form a clover. I then traced around it with a marker. I hand wrote the sentiment on the other circle.

Well that is all for now. Speaking of QKR Stampede...there is still time to enter our drawing from our Blog Hop. Head on over to the QKR Stampede Blog, and hop along with us for a chance to win!

This card is also for the follow challenge:

ABCDEFG...or how about and M, N, and A

Hi there! Today I wanted to share with you the "big" project I have been working on this week. I didn't make too many cards this week, but I did however make these really cool altered giant letters. I have been wanting to do this for a while now, but just never bought the letters. I saw these at Jo-Anns the other day, and they were on sale, sooo I bought them. (Yes I am an impulse shopper...lol.) I then went to work on them...grabbed the Mod Podge and some paper and here is what I came up with. This letter is for my oldest DD...who is a super crazy Harry Potter fan. I used this Harry Potter paper from Creative Inspirations. I then used some of the chipboard stickers, "shiny" stickers, and a regular sticker to decorate. I used my Cricut to cut the name from some more Harry Potter paper. #2...This is my for middle DD, who loves all things girly and Tinkerbell. I had this paper in my stash from a while ago. I then used some chipboard letters for her name. The heart is also a chipboard embellishment, and I added some liquid pearls to it. Next I took some flowers, and layered them to make a big giant flower, and added a cord brad from Nikki Sivils. The last one is for my youngest DD. Now...let me just say...she does NOT like the flower I added...lol. She actually threw a tantrum because I put it on there, but it needed something there...so I put it on anyway. I am sure in time she will get over it. I let her pick her background paper, which is just some I had in my stash. I used chipboard letters for her name, and added some chipboard butterflies. I used purple stickles on the butterflies too. Last, I added the layered flower with a butterfly brad in the center.

Well that is all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget there is still time to get in to win the $20 QKR Stampede gift certificate. Scroll down, and check out our DT Hop!

This is for the following challenge:

Do You Stack Up - Dots - the letter A has lots of dots! The background paper, and the butterflies.

SO...if you did come from Kristie's blog...lets get started! First...wasn't her project great???!!! I just love seeing all the creative talent from the rest of the DT. This hop we are featuring some of the angel stamps that are available in the QKR Stampede store. I choose the "Hanging the Stars" angel for my hop card. I stamped her on white CS, and colored with markers. I added some yellow stickles to the wings, and part of the halo. I also added some white liquid applique to the cloud to make it puffy. I layered her onto some yellow and pink star PP. I used a boarder punch for the right boarder, and layered that. The sentiment is a sticker. I also added some felt "ribbon" and some little flowers.
Well that is all from me...now head on over to...

If at any point during the hop you get lost, please head back to the QKR Stampede Blog for a complete hop list. Thanks so much for stopping by, and don't forget about that prize!!!
This card is for the following challenge:
Sweet Stop Sketch- I used the sketch for my LO.

QKR Quilted Thursday

Hi there. Sorry my post is a little later then I usually have it up. I had to go to and HSA meeting for my girls' school last night, and got home and got distracted...lol. So...here it is now! I wanted to try something new too...so I decided to try a "quilt card". I have seen this a few times lately, and thought it was a neat thing. I started by cutting the little squares of PP. The PP is all from TAC. Then I put the "quilt" together. I thought it turned out pretty cool. Next I added the Tooth Fairy image from QKR Stampede. I stamped her and colored her with markers. I added some smootch to her wings and the little teeth. I also added some copper stickles to the little coin in her hands. I attached her using foam tape, so she sticks out a bit from the "quilt". Last, I added the little "smile" rub-on, and some pink pearls. I thought "smile" was fitting for the tooth fairy. TO me there is nothing cuter then a little one with a missing tooth that just fell out.
One last thing...tomorrow we will be having a QKR Stampede DT blog hop! WE will be featuring some of the angel stamps that are available in the QKR Stampede store. Our "Heaven Sent" blog hop begins at 8am EST Friday morning. Be sure to hop along with us, and who knows...you may even win a $20 gift certificate to the QKR Stampede store!

This card is for the following Challenges:
7 Kids College Fund - Squares - the quilt is full of squares!

Creative Belli 111 - Fabric or Felt

Hi there! Today we have a new challenge for you over at the Creative Belli Challenge. This week we want to challenge you to use fabric or felt on your project. Now, don't go out and buy some...use something you have in your stash already. The Belli DT has some wonderful inspiration for you to help get your mind going on this one. Here is what I came up with... As you can see, I made some fabric flowers for this challenge. My dad got me some Yo-Yo makers for Christmas, and I thought they would be perfect for this challenge. I grabbed some fabric that was left over pieces from the turkey banners I made with my DD's 3 grade class in November...and those were left over scraps from a friend of my mom who quilts. I then used my Cricut to cut a little "planter". The PP is a Tim Holtz stack I won at the Superbowl party at my LSS. I also used my Cricut to cut the leaves for the flowers. Then I added buttons to the center of my flowers. Last, I wanted the planter to look like a tiled mosaic pot...so I pulled out my crystal effects and added it only to the squares. I thought it turned out exactly how I wanted! It feels pretty cool to touch too...lol. Last I added a sticker to the top...the sticker is from SRM.
Well that is all for my card. Now we want to see your fabric or felt creation. Head on over to the Creative Belli Blog, and link up your project for us to oogle over. We love seeing all the projects that you all make.

This card is also for the Simon Says Challenge: Make your own Embellishment...my yo yos are homemade.

Crazy 4 Cocoa - Color Challenge

HI there. I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. My hubby and I just enjoyed some time together. Nothing fancy...but sometimes that is all you need. Well, since it is Tuesday, we have a brand new challenge for you over at the Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge Blog. This time we have a color challenge for you. We want to see your Cocoa creations using Purple, Green, and Yellow. So...grab a Cocoa image from Sweet 'n Sassy...and see what you can come up with using these colors. Here is my creation...I used the Pamper Me Cookie digi image for this one. If you haven't "met" Cookie yet...she is Cocoa's girlfriend. Isn't she lovely??!!! I just loved this image when I saw it. I colored this Cookie with markers. I used PURPLE for the nail polish, and added some crystal effects to the bottle. I also put some chunky glitter on before it dried.

I thought it would be fun to have some glittery nail polish. I also added some gold stickles to the lid and the lipstick tube. Next, I added a GREEN bow to Cookies' hair. Then I layered onto some PURPLE paper from SU, and some YELLOW paper from Cosmo Cricket. I used some stickers to added the word down the side. For some reason, I just thought Cookie looked glamorous!

Well now it is your turn. Show us your Cocoa creation using these colors. Don't forget to check out what the other ladies have made too! So, head on over to the Crazy 4 Cocoa blog!

Chocolate Cocoa

Hi there. Today I felt like playing along with some challenges. So...Here is the card I whipped up today...I used this adorable Cocoa digi from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. I colored him with markers. Then I began the layers. All the paper except for the white CS is from the Cherry-O paper set from Close to My Heart. The ribbon is from Maya Road, and the little rhinestones are from CTMH. I used a SU heart punch for the hearts, and added the little "with love" sticker...which was from a freebie I got in the mail once.

This card is for the following challenges:
7 Kids College Fund - I {heart} you - the hearts in the corner
Cupcake Craft Challenge - Seeing Red - lots of red on this one!
Do You Stack UP - Ribbon - I used the red velvet ribbon
Moxie Fab - Tuesday Trigger - This photo was the inspiration

Sketches in Thyme - the layout is this week's sketch

Whimsie Doodles - Red and White -there is a lot of those on this card!

Altered Tag

Hi there. SO if you remember, the other day I showed you this picture...
I found this tag in my room. It is from a pair of jeans I purchased a LONG time ago. I saved it because I thought I could do something with it. Well I finally did! I saw this image from QKR Stampede, and thought it was something "different" from my normal QKR picks...so I wanted to use this. I don't usually make projects with verses or sentiments as my main image, but this just turned out so pretty. As you can see I used the Philippians 4:4-7 stamp from QKR Stampede. I inked it up with black ink, but left off the top part that says "memory verse". I then used some black ink to ink distress the entire thing...lol. I attached the papers to the tag (the papers are from Echo Park), and ink distressed them too. I added some little chipboard flowers, and some black rhinestones and black pearls too. I just love the way this turned out. Here is the back... Well I hope you liked it too! Not sure what I am going to do with it yet, but it is still very pretty. Thanks for stopping by!
I am entering this in the Simon Says Challenge - anything but a card.

Some Cocoa Paper Piecing

Hi there! Welcome to another Crazy 4 Cocoa Challenge. Let me just say...I love being in this team, first because it is a great group of talent, and 2nd...we have to use Cocoa...what more could I ask for????!!! I enjoy seeing all the projects people who play along with us make too. It always amazes me to see how many different ways 1 image can be used. If you still don't have any Cocoa images from Sweet 'n Sassy...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Korin has so many adorable images with this guy available in both clear stamp and digi form. So be sure to check those out too. Well...onto the challenge. Today we are challenging you to paper piece any Cocoa image. Here is some of my paper piecing. Since here in Buffalo, NY it is still freezing...I decided to create a winter card. I stamped the Mitten Cocoa image on white CS, and then again on some PP from My Mind's Eye. Then I paper pieced the mittens and the star. I layered Cocoa onto some other PP from the same paper set. I added the little SRM sticker in the corner, and some brads in the other corner. Well, that is it! Now it is your turn. Head on over to the Crazy 4 Cocoa blog, and check out what the rest of the DT ladies have come up with. Then grab your paper, some ink, and a Cocoa image, and create your own paper pieced Cocoa! OH...and don't forget...there is a monthly prize for participating in the Cocoa challenge too!!!

She used a digi image of Cocoa Mouse from Sweet 'n Sassy. The PP was from mommy's stash, and was bought a year or more ago at Target $1 Spot. She added the little heart ribbon bow (with a little help from mom of course!). Last, she added some stickers to the inside. She can't wait to mail this off to Grandma!

My kind of Superbowl party

Hi there. Today I was able to go to a super fun Superbowl party at my Local Stamp Store...Buffalo Stamps and Stuff. We made a total of 6 projects, had snacks, beverages, and even pizza and wings! This was the first time they have ever done this, and it was sooo fun! I am already looking forward to next year. I wanted to share the projects we made with you. These are NOT my original ideas, and I am not sure all the papers and such to get credit. These projects were all kits created for us to make by the wonderful owner and her crew at the store. Also, my photos are not very good, since i took these after the sun was setting. What would a Superbowl party be without a football card!!!A cute little Valentine.I didn't get to color this one yet, but will be working on that later this week. Still adorable...even not colored. This was a fun one. The little strawberries are die cuts. Never made a card with paper doilies. This is just so pretty. This is actually an altered item. We just made the paper square, and layered over the pad holder. The dark green printed background was already on the notepad. Inside of the altered notepad.

Well that is all for now! Off to watch the Superbowl Commercials...not a football fan here...lol. I am also hoping to stay awake for most of the commercials. I didn't get much sleep last night. I spent the night at the science museum with my older 2 girls for a girl scout sleepover. Lets just say...sleeping with the dinosaurs is not all that great...lol...cool yes...not so great if you have a bad back.

School Valentines...QKR Stampede Style

Hello, and happy Thursday. I hope you are all shoveled out in your area. They closed all the schools in our county, and the one over, and we got...NOTHING! That is right...NOTHING. Ok...so there was some freezing rain over night, and like 2 inches of snow. I will say though, it was nice having everyone home yesterday. The girls played outside while my hubby snowblowed. I was able to get some blogging done, and started a loft of bread in the bread machine. Well today I wanted to share a project I made for my girls to take to school for their friends. I personally LOVE Airheads candy...lol. So I bought a case at BJ's and went to town...decorating them I mean...I only ate some...lol. I used my Cricut to cut the tags, and the tag top layer. The PP is from the Target $1 spot. After getting them all glued together, I used the Happy Valentine's Day stamp from QKR Stampede. As you can see, I did not stamp the "day" part. It didn't really fit...lol. I used some red ribbon to tie the tags to the Airheads. On the back of each one, I wrote "from:" and my child's name. I thought they turned out pretty yummy!
Well that is all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Dance in the Rain

If you are looking for today's Creative Belli Post...please go HERE.

I wanted to share a card I made using some papers I won from Nikki Sivils. I won one of the new lines of paper, and I was very very excited! I was lucky enough to get the complete 12x12 release of the "It's Raining It's Pouring" line. So I thought I would try it out. Here is the card I made using it. The image is an old Hannah Stamps stamp set. A friend of my gave me these sets a while back, as she no longer needed/used them. I thought this image was just perfect for this paper. I stamped the image, and then did some paper piecing. As you can see, I paper pieced her umbrella, and raincoat. I used markers to color the rest of her. Then I layered and layered and layered...lol. The saying in the corner is also from the paper set. I thought it was perfect for this image too.

This card is for the following challenges:
Sweet Stop Sketch - the layout of this card is the sketch
Do You Stack Up? - Patterned Paper (this is my 2nd entry)

Creative Belli 110 - Jewelry

Hi there. Brrrrr...I think that is the general conscious around here. As I am typing this post, we are still waiting to hear if the kids have a snow day tomorrow. I am sooo hoping for one! We will see though. Well, we have a new challenge for you over at the Creative Belli Challenge today. So...you can stay warm and stamp today! What more could you ask for!!! Today our challenge is Jewelry. That is right...use some old jewelry on your project. Here is what I dug out for this one...I bought these earrings 10 years ago when I went to Vegas with my parents. I did wear them, but they have been sitting in my jewelry box for a while now, and starting to get yucky. I actually noticed some sort of "rust" on one. So...no more ears for these guys. Plus, they are silver, and I am not a silver person. So I grabbed my hubby's wire cutters (which by the way I "stole" a while ago for my crafting use...shhh don't tell him), and cut off the hooks. Here is how I ended up using them... I used an old SU butterfly and colored it to look like the earrings. I stamped it twice, and layered so I could curl up the wings. I layered that onto some purple CS. The sentiment is from a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set. I layered these onto a piece of black magic Coredinations paper. I wadded it up, and then flattened and sanded it. I added the earrings around the sentiment, and last added some little rhinestones.
Now it is your turn. Grab some old jewelry that you never use. Just costume jewelry...don't think you want to use your real gold...lol...or maybe you do! Use it somewhere on your project, then link it up at the bottom of the Creative Belli Post 110. Be sure to check out the fabulous inspiration from the other Belli Girls too! I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Crazy 4 Cocoa - Favorite Cocoa

Hi there! It is time for another Crazy 4 Cocoa challenge! I just love Tuesdays for that reason. I mean, how can you not love Cocoa???!!! Well, I must start by saying I struggled with today's challenge...today we wanted to challenge you to work with your favorite Cocoa. Yes...I struggled...why? Because I LOVE THEM ALLLLLLLL!!!! Well, after a bit of contemplation...I decided to go with Cupcake Cocoa. This guy is from the clear stamp set So Sweet Cocoa, and is also available in a Digi. I stamped him twice, and layered Cocoa's head with pop dots. I colored Cocoa with makers, and added some stickles to the sprinkles. I tried to make the cupcake wrapper to look like one of them cupcakes on the PP. The PP are from the Target $1 spot. I added the sentiment...which is from the Cocoa Kind of Birthday clear set. Last I added some little rhinestones to the corners, and used a purple Copic to color them.

Now it is your turn...if you can...choose your favorite Cocoa image, and share a project with us using him. Don't have a Cocoa image yet?...Head on over to the Sweet 'n Sassy store and grab one! For more inspiration, see what the other DT members created using their favorite Cocoas at the Crazy 4 Cocoa Blog...that is also where you will want to link up your project for us to see!
