Bubbling Over....QKR Stampede

Hello there. What a week so far. Yesterday we had the funeral for my DH's Grandfather, and the day before that was the 5 hour wake. It was a long sad couple days...however there was some happiness in celebrating such a great life. I was so proud of my girls too. The 2 older ones helped during the Mass, and my oldest lead the pray at the cemetery. I know her Great Grandpa would have been proud of her. Enough sadness for now...ha ha.
Well I did get a little time the other day to put this card together. I actually stamped the image and made the fish bowl a couple weeks back...then I sat and stared at it for what to do with it. Here is what I came up with. This image is called Gold Fish, and can be found in the QKR Stampede store. I stamped him on some orangeish CS, and trimmed him. I added some stickles for a sparkly fins, and a "fish" eye to him. I used my Cricut to cut the fishbowl from some clear acetate I had in my stamp room. I took a piece of velum and added some blue ink to it to look like water...it didn't turn out exactly like I wanted, however it looked neat. Last I added some sand. I purchased this stand stuff at my LSS a while back...I thought it would be fun, and hadn't used it yet until now. I was going for the "sand at the bottom" look...lol. Here is a close up.I used some PP I had in my stamp room for the BG. Not sure where i got it...lol. I thought the bubbles went well with the fish though. Last I added a piece of CS and hand wrote the sentiment...notice the sarcasm in the statement? I added a couple fishy brads too.
Well that is all for now. Thanks for stopping by. I am now in a time crunch to get a gift done for my FIL's birthday this weekend, and I will be volunteering at the CKC Convention this weekend.

Very cute!! I love the fishbowl, that's very creative. Is the sand made of Flower Soft? I've seen that but haven't tried it yet. I like how you did the PP in strips too. Great job!
