Distressing fun!
Hi there. Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We were busy busy busy for sure! It was a nice relief today to be able to spend some time in my stamp room. Well, other than the part when a giant nasty bug decided to climb onto my crafting table. EWWWWW! Well today I want to share a card I made for two different challenges. First I used this week's Sweet Stop Sketch. I also did a lot of distressing on this card, which is the challenge this week at the Cupcake Craft Challenge.
I started with this image from Sweet 'n Sassy. It is one of the clear stamp sets called Thankful Molly. I colored her with colored pencils. I decided to go with some Basic Grey PP for this card. I liked the look of the paper...since it already looked kinda distressed. I used ink distressing along the edges of pretty much ever piece of CS I put on this card. I also did some distressing to the yellow base CS using the distressing tool I had from SU. I added this lacy ribbon I had in my stash too. I thought it looked kinda vintage...which is what distressing always seems to look like to me. Last I added the sentiment which is from the same stamp set as the little Molly stamp. And of course I had to i-Rock it by adding some gold mirrored pieces to the corners. Well that is all for now. Now I am just hoping the rain holds off until after our family bike ride tonight!
