HI there. Welcome to the "Let's Talk Turkey Blog Hop" with QKR Stampede! We (the fabulous DT) are featuring fall and Thanksgiving projects this month. If you have just arrived here from
Dawn's Blog, then you are on the right track. Wasn't her project great??!!!! If I am your first stop on the hop...then please head on over to the
QKR Stampede blog so you can start from the top. Trust me you don't want to miss a minute of this fabulous hop. If at any point during the hop you get "lost" you can also head back to the
QKR Stampede blog for a complete list of the DT blogs in order. Also, I hope you have been leaving some comments along the way...Maribeth, the owner of QKR Stampede, has very generously donated a $20 gift certificate to the
QKR Stampede store to one lucky hopper! You can see all the details on how to enter at the
QKR Stampede blog. Wooo...now that we have gotten through all that I have a fun project to share with you using the
Thanksgiving Feast image.
Isn't this guy adorable!!!!! I decided to make an altered candle for this hop. I haven't done this in YEARS, so I thought it would be fun to try again. I was cleaning my linen closet the other day, and found this candle...still wrapped in the cello wrap...lol. Who knows how long that has been in there. I stamped this guy on some tissue paper, and colored him with marker. Then I used my heat tool to "melt" it onto the candle. Next, I stamped the
Happy Thanksgiving sentiment onto some tissue paper. I trimmed off the "happy" and put that onto the candle. I thought it would make a cute centerpiece for my table this year. Altered candles are so simple to make, and look very "impressive" when people see them. They make great gifts too!
Alright...your time here is done...time to hop on over to my talented friend
KRISTIE'S BLOG
I am sure she has something great in store for you there. Don't forget...if you get lost along the way, just hop on over to the QKR Stampede Blog for a complete hop order. AND...don't forget to enter our fabulous giveaway!

How fun, this is something I have never tried. What a great decor idea.
Very nice Jess. You did a great job on this one. I have wanted to try this technique, but haven't done it yet. Really should, it is just adorable. Will be a wonderful addition to your Thanksgiving table.
Wonderful project, you did a nice job getting the image on the candle.

Your candle will be a nice addition to your Thanksgiving table. You can't beat handmade home decor items, they make things seem more "homey-er" =)

Looks better than some holiday candles I've seen for sale in the stores! You make it sound so easy I might have to try it tonight--I really didn't want to do the vacuuming anyway.
I would have never thought of putting a stamp on a candle. That looks great.
Very cute and perfect for the Thandsgiving table.
