When Life Gives You...
Well I would say lemons...but how about SNOW! YES SNOW...it is April 18th, and officially spring, but my front yard is covered in SNOW! It has been snowing for the past 2 days, but today it is sticking...and well frankly that makes me mad...lol. I watched the noon news, and the weather lady said..."yes it is snowing, but it won't stick." Well, I have proof it DID stick. HAPPY SPRING!!!! Isn't it lovely?!!! LOL Well...instead of staring out my window and crying about that fact that my children are spending spring break INSIDE the house. I decided to make a card. Isn't this more fun and springy! Well more summery then anything, but I love it! I made this card to enter into a couple challenges. First...I am entering this in the April Imaginisce Challenge...Paper Piecing. At least 75% of the products on the card have to be Imaginisce...and mine are all from the Berrylicious line. I stamped this little Lemon Snag 'Em stamp onto some of the PP and again on red and pink CS. Then I paper pieced the mouth and cheeks on the lemon. Next I layered that onto a scrap of HoneyPOP pad I had from my previous card. I turned it into a little "sun" or "flower" or "yellow puffy layer thingy" to mount the lemon on. Next I used LOT OF LAYERS...which is the Challenge this week at the Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog. I layered the yellow PP first, then the stripes, then the cute garden PP (all from Imaginisce). Last, I added the chipboard sticker to the bottom of the card. I thought this would be a cute card to give a teenager or child that was having a rough day. So...I am entering this in the Simon Says Challenge which is A Card for a Child. There is also "scallops" cut along the PP for this one, which is the challenge at Do You Stack Up this week.
